That's exactly what this move is about. Still though, who cares? It's not like they are going to clone the faculty and then fire all of the originals for free clone labor like some sci-fi movie (Surrogates is great btw!).People are way too touchy on things, there are far worse things our government is doing/wants to do. Plus it's not mandatory, you could always work elsewhere.There's no need for DNA to conduct a state or federal criminal background check; anyone who's been arrested is on file by name and fingerprint. Collecting DNA opens the door to discrimination based on genetics...that's the problem here (blacks and disabled people are free to go work somewhere else too, right?). Congress has already passed a law against genetic discrimination by employers and insurance companies, so who's the first to try to defy it? Good old Akron U.
