  1. +1. Throw in some cold weather, a little precipitation...could be an equalizer
  2. That's exactly what this move is about. Still though, who cares? It's not like they are going to clone the faculty and then fire all of the originals for free clone labor like some sci-fi movie (Surrogates is great btw!).People are way too touchy on things, there are far worse things our government is doing/wants to do. Plus it's not mandatory, you could always work elsewhere. There's no need for DNA to conduct a state or federal criminal background check; anyone who's been arrested is on file by name and fingerprint. Collecting DNA opens the door to discrimination based on genetics...that's the problem here (blacks and disabled people are free to go work somewhere else too, right?). Congress has already passed a law against genetic discrimination by employers and insurance companies, so who's the first to try to defy it? Good old Akron U.
  3. I saw something about Jon Gruden the other day. Is he going to get another NFL HC opportunity? Would he settle for NFL assistant or would he rather HC a college team? I suppose the MAC $$ would be too much of a comedown for him..
  4. How many punts did we fair catch on our 5 yard line this game?
  5. Has Luis lost his mind?http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/10/28/ta...ry5438012.shtml
  6. Don't be fooled. That white bread is bad for you. Whole wheat is the way to go.
  7. Great to hear.... but the last thing our campus needs is MORE buildings... at least thats what I think.Im guessing such expansion would require the university to purchase more properties surrounding the campus...Or replacing some of the old existing buildings with newer, better ones perhaps....and there are plenty of old buildings on the north side of campus surrounding the Wonder Bread factory...and the Wonder Bread factory itself...I'm giving even odds on whether it will collapse before the Rubber Bowl...
  8. Well said. Mom & Dad Frye and Zips fans should be proud.
  9. (last week) http://www.heraldtribune.com/article/20091...?Title=Blowout-Lost in the 48-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints was a record-setting performance by Domenik Hixon of the Giants. The receiver-returnman had 303 total yards in breaking Joe Scott's 61-year-old franchise record by 24 yards. Hixon had 230 yards on seven kickoff returns, including a 68-yarder and a 45-yarder to set up a touchdown and field goal, respectively. He returned two punts for 27 and 24 yards, with the latter setting up another score. Hixon also caught three passes for 22 yards
  10. They don't sign their letters of intent until February. If we go 1-11 and JD is fired, they'll want to reconsider their options. If a new coach is named quickly that they like, some may stay w/us. If we go 1-11 and JD stays, we'll probably lose most of them. Either way, this season is setting us back. I feel bad for Gary Taylor but at least the stadium will help with the next HC hire.
  11. that's it. back to work. losing too much time on commercials.
  12. Why are we fielding these punts inside the 10?
  13. Crap, I came back too late and missed it..
  14. my firefox has never been able to play that, and for some reason my IE is giving me a cannot display this page error.Yes, I have to use IE instead of firefox. Do you have any pop-up or ad-blockers enabled? I have those turned off right now..
  15. listen here: http://www.sportsradio1350.com/main.htmlI checked channelsurfing.com but don't see a link to our game. It's still amazing though all the stuff you could watch just by having internet access.
  16. Now I can overlook the Devoe fumble...he's starting to feel it a bit and trying to make things happen..
  17. TD PASS NICELY !!
  18. Holy cow, is the ball wet?
  19. yeah, but there's no joy in it until we get our own house in order.
  20. Outstanding. Although I'm a little surprised WLW would rub it in that hard since many of their listeners are no doubt long-time tosu bandwagoners.
  21. The sad thing is that now we're not poised to capitalize on the situation for recruiting and local fans attention. But it's still good for all the non-nut Ohio teams, especially those with nice, new facilities There won't be a mass switchover of loyalties anytime soon but Cinci is certainly garnering a lot of focus...it's just shocking how close they are to the top of the heap. Might have been a bit tougher at USF though if the Bulls starting QB hadn't been injured. Looks like Meyer, Saban and Kelly all have the upper hand on Tressel right now. Pressure is mounting on him, T. Pryor and the AD. Lose another and they may be unranked which would be a big
  22. them Bearcats and Boilermakers...
  23. After goal 2: "It's Zippity-do-da for the Zips..."
