Anyone still have any questions on whether LeBron has any impact on the program?

Sue the Kansas City Chiefs. They have done nothing but kick fields to Cincinnati touchdowns today (halftime was even a painful 14-12 score). Then late in the game on an important kickoff they kicked the ball out of bounds. That's OUR schtick. I hope someone copyrighted yesterday's game. Crank up the lawyer machine!!

According to teamrankings.com, the Zips would be favored in every game for the rest of the season except Bowling Green. They give the Zips a 55% chance against the kittens. Most likely record they project to is 7-5. A 6-2 Conference record would give the Zips the most wins in their D-1 history. I think it's possible.

One OU poster correctly pointed out the Zips usually do something to shoot themselves in the foot against OU. Historically that is accurate, time for it to change. I believe!!! Zips finally get off the schnide against OU, Zips by a field goal. 23-20.

Woodson looked terrific against a quality team. Defense still looks championship quality and if the offense can keep this up who knows? Terrific win team came over to celebrate in the stands. Cody Grice literally came up into the stands. :-)

I wondered that same thing - the guy's obviously a talented athlete and the Zips have had success in the past converting QB's to wide receivers - D'Orazio was a QB and was unarguably our best WR the past couple of years. If Woodson or Pohl establishes themselves I'd think they'd at least have to think about it to get Chapman on the field.

Great job by the Huskies too bad it wasn't a monster upset but a one TD loss is pretty impressive and the Zips were the answer to the AFLAC trivia question. :-) Toledo is up on Iowa St. 13-10.

Great comment by Jerrod Cherry on the TV broadcast. "Chapman may not be ready to be the featured player in this offense but Conor Hundley has proven that he is". I don't understand why they don't use him more.

I have plans to go to Louisiana next week - I'm still going to go but I may skip the game. I don't think there is any chance this team is a contender in the MAC this year. What a waste of a terrific defense.

Offense can't even get it together against one of the worst (maybe the worst) teams in all of D-1. Smh

That doesn't really fully cover the question in this thread that started all of this, which I don't think has ever been answered. GoZips, you keep beating the no High Major will come to Akron drum, I think everyone understands that (as long as we have the same definition of High Major - a team in the Power Five Conferences plus a few notable others), but earlier in this thread I noted a bunch of good mid major programs that are in Akron's RPI range (Valpo, Iona, Harvard, Georgia State, Green Bay, Richmond, Louisiana Tech, Yale, Murray State, Illinois State, Northeastern, La Salle, High Point, South Dakota State) that would be a good home and home series that we seem to have trouble scheduling and for whom you would assume no payout would be necessary. I'm no scheduling expert and I don't live close enough to have a discussion with Steve McNees so I was hoping since you are close to the program maybe you could help those of us on this board understand why that seems to be a difficult thing to do.

It might not be completely random but CNN just listed Akron Ohio as the 10th most affordable place to live in the country.
