  1. All but Evansville currently seeded 12th or lower in the current Bracketology? Figured Evansville was thrown in as a red herring.
  2. In yet another attempt to start a spring football league as reported by Hustlebelt, Major League Football is intending to begin play this year (Akron being one of the cities with a rumor of getting a team) and have a contract with the American Sports Network to show their games so it looks like there is a chance of this being real. Anyway they held their draft and there were several former Zips picked including Jawon Chisholm, Cedric Brittnum and Zach D'Orazio.
  3. Mine didn't change but I want my fees waived too
  4. Can skhorbotly be far behind? :-) Actually it looks like he is - appears as though a number of user names got reset back to their original one.
  5. Good win for the Zips but I wish they'd save the high percentage three shots for tougher teams. :-)
  6. Good win for the Zips but I wish they'd save the high percentage three shots for tougher teams. :-)
  7. That's a pretty amazing story - let's see Reitz, Gates, Rollins, maybe the NFL should just start scouting MAC basketball teams.
  8. Ball game - weren't going to go undefeated in the league anyway.
  9. Don't like seeing Jake holding his chest. :-(
  10. Reggie McAdams apparently hates maroon and gold. 11 first half points.
  11. The one voter who likes us is John Feinstein of National Public Radio in DC. C'mon Zips make the guy look prescient.
  12. Hey skip, Tava played for WMU. And they certainly do not look like a title contender any longer. We'll see tomorrow.
  13. We certainly have Linda Ronstadt guard defense. You know, Blue Bayou
  14. So looking back at the end of the year Oklahoma will play 13 or 14 games and of those opponents all but three qualified for a bowl game (and the one they lost to didn't - but could have - Texas at 5-7). Rooting for Oklahoma to win the whole thing.
  15. MAC is 3-3 in bowl games. All up to CMU to decide if it's a winning or losing year. :-)
  16. BGSU looks terrible. MAC Champs being embarrassed by the fourth place Sunbelt team. Time to end their stranglehold on the East next year!
  17. No kidding - Akron just broke up a Stanford push and the announcer let out a disappointed Oh.
  18. Fenlason definitely Akrons MOTM so far.
  19. And while it is possible it is not likely both of them return next year. It's tough being the Kentucky of college soccer. :-) Congrats to both of them.
  20. Shout out by the Congressman representing Portland on the House Floor. One thing I don't understand about the MLS playoffs is why they play a two game series leading up to the finals but only a single finals game? Anyone know?
  21. Mark Schlabach doesn't think much of our bowl. Ranked it #38 out of 40. And we don't even care.
  22. Looks like you have one more update to make - Toledo beat Iowa State this year. Plus you'll need WMU vs. MTSU in Conference USA and NIU vs. Boise in the Mountain West.
  23. Since this is Charlie Frye related, even though depressing if you are a Browns fan, a fan graphed the debut performance of every Browns quarterback debut since 1999. Look who is at the very top.
  24. Fun watching Caleb celebrate with his team. Brought back good memories. Got glimpses of Nagbe and Nanchoff which added to it. Congrats to the Timbers. All of the Akron mentions certainly didn't hurt.
  25. Two of the Columbus players also had big roles against the Zips in the College Cup. Tony Tchani played a big role for Virginia in their 2009 win and Justin Meram I think might have been the player that scored the early goal for Michigan in the 2010 semifinal.
