Anyone who lived in the dorms in 1967 will never eat veal again.

While I think the Zips have a small (or should I say 7 foot) advantage, Can't did look very strong. These games will be entertaining and competitive. Can't is very very good. Especially under the offensive boards.

Three of the first 25 are currently High School seniors, and the seven footer happens to live in Pittsburgh. Too bad Zeke couldn't recruit him for us.

It is going to be difficult for the selection committee if MAC teams continue to win out of conference.

Watching the game, these are both quality teams that will be hard to beat. The "Turk" who plays for WVU is a MONSTER. Like Nik on steroids. He always seems to be in position for the rebound. This will be on e huge test for Zeke. And they are both fast like us. Should be great games.

None of the rest of us are that old to remember that song. You will have to go this one by yourself. Speak for yourself. I remember hitting 12 straight shots in a fraternity contest "skills drill' at Memorial Hall as that sweet tune was rockin' the house!! And no, it wasn't one of the highlights of my time on campus, just something I think about when I hear the song. Just the fact that you were in Memorial Hall makes you more of my generation.

Everyone needs to slow down and take a deep breath! This is a team that has NEVER BEATEN A TOP 25 TEAM. NOT EVER. So before you get all psyched up, just to be disappointed, just keep in mind. We have never beaten a ranked team. Small steps. Lets win the next two games and get three votes next week!

I believe Bardo and McNees graduated before their Senior seasons? Graduation doesn't always mean your eligibility has expired. Actually, didn't Nik graduate last year?

I would love to go to the game but it is a 400 mile drive. Can't they play one game closer to New York?

akronzips71, keep an eye on Egner. You are under evaluating him if you believe that Josh is not as athletic as his mates. Josh is Zeke's back up at center because he can out jump any of his companions. Josh is a small/power forward being asked to back up a quality seven foot tall center. He has a lot on his plate and will deliver. I am not knocking Egner. I saw how tree plays under the basket, and he is smoother and more aggressive. He could develop into a super player.

Walsh was recruited by big time schools, and last night we saw why. He has great body control, and can hit from the outside. He will play lots of minutes. Period. He is a major-major player. The only question about him is consistency. Nitro is NOT consistent. When he is off, he is bad. Time will tell about Walsh. Harney has huge upside, but won't play that much in critical situations, because he is still very raw and can be a liability for turnovers and dumb fouls. He needs time to grow as a player. By the time he is done, he might be all world. He looks a little like Q did last year. Tree is a future starting forward, and I suspect that Egners role might be limited by these new guys. They are way more athletic. Gilliam? I like him. He didn't look that good last night, but we know he can play. The big challenge this year for KD is to figure who to play.

Why can't Akron ever get the audio right? Other mac schools on the same web site do. I have to listen to the play by play on 1350 while watching the feed on mac-sports. Once in a while the feed comes up, usually the "color" man and NOT the play by play. So what is up with that? Can someone in Akron please tell them it is 2011, we can do audio and video on the same feed?

How do you put a dollar value on our reputation? National Championship Soccer team. MAC Championship game 5 years in a row. Two trips to the madness in the last three years from a ONE BID CONFERENCE. 20+ wins 6 years in a row - one of only 20 NCAA teams. Seventh on the way. And we can't put a team on the field that can win more than one game in a season? WHAT THE HELL IS THE PROBLEM? This is a STATE University with scholarship money. There ARE HS players out there who would jump at a free ride at a Dvi 1 school. WHAT THE HELL IS THE PROBLEM?

The WORST part is that even when we do get rid of him, it will still take several years to recruit and build a winning team. So I think we are sentenced to another 3 or more years of this.

Should be right here. From GoZips.com. That was a mean trick. I clicked on it to find out the time of the game and they were showing some awful lopsided football game on it. It's the new math. The "coach" gets paid extra for losing by over 30 points.
