This means our QB might actually have someone to throw to this coming season.Other than Harvey, can anybody recall a WR that come in as a freshman and made an impact?Schifino, and maybe Lavel Bailey?I'm pretty sure Bailey made that ridiculous TD catch and run against Nebraska when he was a FR. Kenny Chapman was pretty good right away if I recall. I actually think WR is one of the easier positions from which a FR can make an immediate impact. Perhaps he has grade issues. Even the big time schools recruit some JC players.They do it when they are young at certain positions and need some experience immediately.I would agree with you if we had numerous JC players, but there are only a few.

I think Scout posted something wrong. Ty visited Toledo over the weekend and committed to the Rockets then. It was also in the Tampa Tribune yesterday. My guess is that Scout accidentily listed him as an Akron commit instead of Toledo commit when they updated their database this morning.I thought Givens was already in school in Florida. Are you sure that is correct?

It is a shame concerning the lack of school spirit at UA.I wish we had these when I was there.

I think a more realistic scenario is they don't know what they are doing, or they don't have a real grasp of what players have done.As far as them eventually getting in, former NFL Zips should be the first in line. Especially if they have graduated. In almost every case, NFL experience is an indication of the quality of a player.There is no defense for John not getting in yet.Maybe you could give them a call or send them a letter outlining your concerns. I remember Buddenberg as an outstanding player also and I'm sure he deserves consideration. Most of the members are older, but I don't think they lack a grasp of Zips sports history. You could always volunteer your services to the nominating commitee and that would give you some insight into the selection process. Buddenberg was a good OL. How he isn't there is beyond me. I believ ehe was a 10th round pick, when there still were 12 rounds in the NFL draft. One of our better OL ever at UA.It was the 10th round. John played for Cleveland for two years, the Steelers for one and Atlanta for three. I think he played his CFL time with Sacramento when they had teams in the United States.I knew it......

A playoff would be great. DIAA does it so can DI.There will still be unhappy people. If they take the top 4 teams, then the teams that are 5-6 will complain, if they take the top 8 teams then the teams that are 8-9 will complain.They need to do something. The current system sucks.

Etienne is a bit of a surprise. He is young and ready to get playing time with 3 DB starters graduating.

Very nice. The only thing I would change is 5-Quality O-lineman. it would even fit with the 5.slow down part.

Ball was great as a freshman. He looked like a future NBA player off his Freshman year.

Fobbs played quite a bit. Is Williams even on the team? His name wasn't on the roster. Same with Moore.

If you're ineligible, there's no practice. You can't even attend practice as an observer. You'd like to think that Chris McKnight might have discussed the playbook with his little 'bro over Thanksgiving, however. In Steward's case, he practiced only briefly before the injury.Pretty sure Steward won't be playing Wednesday, the other two, yes.... but they have just started practice like the others have said, so not sure what kind of impact they are going to have this week.....If they haven't been practicing, it will take them a minimum of a few weeks just to get their legs back and the rust out. I don't see any freshman that missed all of preseason practice, and the first part of the season making an impact.Maybe by February, after they have 1-1/2 months of practices and games under their belt, but not now.

Have these guys been practicing, or are ethey just now allowed to practice too?If they haven't been practicing, they will have very little impact.
