Got asked the same types of questions when I predicted preseason last year a MAC Championship, and was again ridiculed after the Ball St. loss when I said things could still work out for us to get into the MACC and not to give up hope. 11-1 is what I firmly believe we should expect out of these Zips. I am with you brother 11-1, Penn State is the only loss I expect the rest are definately beatable in my book....hell if JD can beat NIU twice in the same season and both times be the underdog, then we can go 11-1!!!

You know what I am happy whenever my team get more exposure but, like I mentioned before with all these new bowl games it almost takes away from the accomplishment of making a bowl game. I wanna go to an atlarge bowl game, now granted I had a great time at the motor city bowl and will remember it forever but all these other bowls are gonna be just that.......the "other" bowl games, and not "The Bowl Games"

I wanna see us beat Penn State or NC State....if or should I say when we do everyone better look-out!! Cause it will be an automatic boot to the offical ranks of mid-major!!

I have no problem with a man crying after a game in which he gave his all but "sometimes" people do it just for show....like I feel he did.......trying to get infront of the cameras walking around on the court instead of taking his ass back to the locker room......there is a thing called composure and you should show alittle of it no matter what the situation and not pout like a little kid that has never lost something meaningful. I had a coach say once that you should never never show the other team you are hurt....because it makes you look weak and it gives them something to gloat about......how about this instead of throwing a tantrum like he did why not go congratulate the other team.

I feel that anything that gives the MAC Conference more exposure is a good thing.....some posters I seen argued that it would hurt the conference more than help because everyone will see the empty seats...man anyone who went to the MCB knows that is crap.

Are you fucking kidding me? First off, Mount Union is D3, not 1-AA. Any D3 school would get absolutely ass raped by any D1, 1-AA, or D2 school. If Akron played Mount Union, first of all, it would be unsafe for the Mount Union players because it's an entirely different kind of player and skill level. Secondly, it'd be 56-0 or worse by halftime. 1-AA schools can sometimes compete with a 1-A school. But Mount Union would not come close to Ashland, much less Akron. Hahaha You beat me to it...man people who sat the bench at my high school in massillon START for Mount Union. All county players and honorable mention state players go to D1...you gotta be kidding.

I just think that Buffalo isn't a slouch. Does anyone else think that's a pretty tough 1st tournament game opponent? I feel we can beat anyone but I would rather we play Buffalo so we can laugh twice once for Can't losing to Buffalo their first time up and laugh again when we win it all!!

It doesn't hurt immediately but it does hurt, it hurts the fact you could have given a scholarship to a deserving walk-on, it hurts your image, it hurts your so called reputation, and depending on how much publicity this gets it hurts future recruits that may be on the bubble trying to decide between going to Can't or Toledo. So yes it does hurt your silly little rockets.

Someone metioned V. Tech, we already hosted them at the Rubber Bowl once and almost won!! I know because I played on that team. They may be willing to make another trip up.

Man how can anyone not? This entire year of Akron sports has been tremendous to say the least, I would love to play Ohio State in the tournament just because I "KNOW" we could win, the stars are just aligned in Akron's favor this year! I have a good feel about this team getting people excited about post season play as the football, and soccer teams have...does anyone else or am I the only one?
