Dude you need to calm your ass down. We are on here talking about this because we ARE in a position where we COULD win the East. We talk about it because not all of us are really sure as to how things work out, and I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that I don't think you are one hundred percent sure yourself. Either way there is no need for the incesant yelling and angry posts. I don't know what problem you have with us talking about this, but I have a suggestion. If you don't like it stop reading it. Solves a lot.

WPIAL go back to the Can't board where you belong man. There is no need for that kind of direct hatred of fellow Zipsnation members on this board.

Z-P, I was there too. There WERE 7K in that stadium last night. The camera loves to show empty seats but the home side was about 5-8 full until you got over to the band. I think 7K is a pretty close tally. I don't think the Thanksgiving game is going to be as bad as once thought. I know our family has looked at it as an opportunity to have a different kind of thanksgiving. I'll be there with a group of around 10. Also like I've said before, after polling residence hall students to see if they would be interested in leaving the dorms open specifically so they can go to the game, the UA has decided that there is enough interest there to leave them open. I think this really is a good sign for that game. I'm probably wrong though. I am also very curious as to how things pan out if Zips and Miami win their respective games coming up, and BG looses to Toledo. If I'm thinking right it creates this. 3 way tie atop the East with BG, Akron and Miami -Miami owns the tie breaker over us -We own the tie breaker of BG -BG owns the tie breaker over Miami I don't know how it pans out then. Anyone else wanna weigh in?

Both BG and Miami have to loose if I am thinking right. Right now BG is up a game on us and Miami, if they loose and both of us win it ties all 3 of us at the top. It would be an interesting tie breaker though. BG loosing and both Miami and the Zips winning would set this up if I am thinking right. 3 way tie b/w Zips, Falcons, and Redhawks BG has the tiebreaker over Miami Zips have the tiebreaker over BG Miami has the tiebeaker over Zips Who would win then? Does anyone know?

In talking with someone who is on a city board looking into this exact issue I can tell you honestly that is going to happen. Her exact quote to me was "It isn't really a matter of if it's going to happen, right now it is just a matter of when." Basically confirms what most of us already knew. Now the question becomes when.

Made it to the game actually. Weather looked good and I found someone to go w/ me. Just a few thoughts. I don't know if you can expect a whole lot more out of the community tonight. I was actually kinda surprised there were ANY people there with the weather threatening. I've been critical of Getsy in the past. He looked good tonight. He hit Hixon deep, he hit Jabari deep, he made the intermediate throws, he made the short throws. One thing I was impressed with the fact that he stopped trying to force the ball so much like he was early in the year. Just hope he keeps it up for the Can't game. Jabari looked MUCH better tonight. Good game for him. Defense DOMINATED. Plain dominated. What a game for them guys. I don't think the Bobkittens had a first down the entire second half. Wow! The stats don't lie. When Biggs carries for over 100yrds we win. Period. With a lil over a week off I hope he is ready to tear up the Turkey's on Thanksgiving. I'm still a little concerned about our red zone offense. We need more TD's, not FG attempts. And what the hell was with Swiger's bouncing it off the crossbar from like 15 out? No excuse for that. You gotta make that kick. I'm also concerned about the stupid penalties. We killed ourselves a number of times on drives with dumb holding calls. No excuse for that at this time in the season. Final though GO BG!

It is true. I checked with the JAR team shop yesterday and "Fear the Roo" gear is currently on order and should be in soon. The student at the team shop even knew exactley what I was talking about. Surprisingly enough. Edit: She also mentioned that the "Fear the Roo" logo will also be on the back of the Soccer MAC Championship shirts.

Unfortunatley I'm not gonna make it to the game. I'll have Frenchie on as I can tomorow night but the weather combined with a pretty full week of classes and noone to go down and enjoy the game with is gonna keep me here more than likely. Someone yell at Luke Gesty for me from the stands whenever he throws his third interception please.
-
They've already taken the first step for that yesterday. I can't see how Can't is ever gonna get any better. There is just no commitment there from anyone. I watched their BG game last week. The coaches looked lethargic. The players looked lethargic. There were no fans. The administration has no desire to make them better. It just looks like Can't could care less about football.
-
No, no it won't. Can't is going nowhere fast. I think we've all seen by now that Kents late season success last year was in large part to Josh Cribbs. This is a team that has no coaching, can't stay healthy and can't draw a crowd. In all actuality it may be a blessing for Akron to have them late in the year the next few years. That way when we are serious contenders in the East we can have our bitch to nail at the end of the season every year and not have to worry about facing a MAC elite w/ title hopes on the line. Golden Turkey-> <-Fear the Roo!
-
If we loose to Can't I'm going to hang myself. How bad do you have to be to actually loose to Buffalo? I mean I know they played us close, but that was also on their turf. Can't got them at home and couldn't beat them.
-
Not so. If BG beats Miami, and then loses to Toledo, it's a 3 way tie to end the season at the top of the East. Head to head matchups with Akron, BG, and Miami just goes in a big circle, so I'm not sure how the tie would be broken. If Miami loses to BG AND Ohio, and BG loses to Toledo, Akron wins the East and goes to the Championship game. There's still hope. They aren't eliminated yet. This is all assuming we win out. Can't should still be a win but I'm not convinced we can take it to Ohio, praticularly with how we have played this season.
-
Goodnight everyone. Its over.
-
This is for the season basically. Put it in the endzone guys.
-
3rd and Goal and a timeout. This is 4 down territory for the game.
-
1st and GOAL!!!!! Come on guys!
-
If we win the entire team needs to go buy the D-line and John Long a Porterhouse dinner.
-
Now Ball State is shooting themselves. Their QB is out and their reciever who took over is stumbling around after taking a huge hit. Do you smell a turnover?
-
TD ZIPS! TD ZIPS! TD ZIPS!
-
Steves sick? Hell I'M SICK! Our lack of discipline and lack of ability to move the ball is disgusting.
-
Why does our D give up at the most crucial part of the game? Why have we called the dogs off here?
-
And now Getsy cools off. "bye bye MAC East"
-
TD testicles. Who the hell is paying these refs. Gotta put up 7 on this drive or this game is over. Nice job D.
-
Review on the spot. Even if they don't overturn I think the testicles go for it on 4th down. Even if they miss they pin us at the 1.
-
And as soon as the O gets things going the D starts sucking. Why can't we have both sides of the ball working for us at once?
