You guys act like there are teams breaking down the door to get a chance to play at the JAR and KD is not willing to put them on the schedule. The reason we play those teams is because that's who we can get to come play us at home. Other top 50 or even 100 programs have nothing to gain and everything to lose by agreeing to play at the JAR. Most of the top 50 programs would want a 1 for 3 series with us playing them at their place first. Then when the time comes to play at the JAR, they just buy their way out of the contract if it looks like they might lose. Part of the reason KD likes the bracketbusters is because it guarantees a home game against a quality opponent. The coaching staff wants to play a good OOC schedule, but not if it means playing almost every game on the road.

Yesterday was the first time ever that the Lady Zips beat Can't at the MAAC. Also the first time ever to sweep the flashes for the regular season.

I was surprised when the band got moved to a location directly in front of the players family section and also much closer to our own bench. I understand the thought that having more students down by the opponents bench would give us some kind of advantage. With that said, I think it bothers the coaching staff. During timeouts it has to make it harder for the staff to talk to the players with the band just a few feet away. I would bet if you asked KD he would gladly move them back to the other end to disrupt our opponents timeouts.

Nyles Evans Brevard CC team just clinched the Southern Conference Basketball Championship, going 24-6. They will play in the March 7 first round of the FCSAA/NJCAA Division I Region 8 tournament at Chipola College in Marianna.

I saw Andrew Pratt the other night. He was playing in a Green High School alumni basketball game. It appears to me that he has bulked up over the off season. I wonder where he is going to fit in? In the limited action he saw last season, he caught nearly every pass thrown his way. But for some reason when he did get PT it was mostly on running plays or set plays away from him. He's big enough to play TE.

OHSAA is cheap. When Green hosts a game all they get is the parking concession. All the gate goes to OHSAA and they don't pay a rental fee.
