  1. I'm all in for this strategy. We have to win before we can get better recruits from high school.
  2. I'm hoping that we go all out for Juco players.
  3. It's called sarcasam.
  4. Part of the ability to "Do"is the belief system that you can. I got to play golf last week with 3 PGA pros at Firestone CC and they all told me the difference between winning and just competing was attitude. The guys who win know they can, the rest are just hoping they can.
  5. There are a few here I would help jump.
  6. He already red-shirted last season.
  7. Yeah. He's not good at smilies.
  8. Why do you even bother?
  9. Two tickets are gone, three left.
  10. I am unable to attend tomorrow's game. I have 5 reserved seats, second row upper deck, 50 yard line. Send me a PM.
  11. Got a chance to catch a couple of hours of practice today. The coaching staff was working off a list of about 30 drills. The pace was fast as they moved from one drill to the other. Each drill was a series of short bursts of high energy techniques. They worked on various plays but most of the time, the emphasis was on defense. As each drill was called out, the players either let out a groan or some other acknowledgment as to how they viewed that particular drill. The one that stood out was a drill called "West High". When that one was called everyone started hooping and hollering with anticipation. It was 5 on 5, half court, anything goes. No fouls called, no out of bounds. Think Rugby scrum. The team with the ball had to score how ever many points the coaches dictated and the defenders did what ever they had to preventing them from scoring. Every loose ball resulted in a pile of players scrapping. On one loose ball, Tree came barreling at the scorers table where we were seated and he was carrying Abreau on his back, who had both arms wrapped around him trying to stop him. It was 5 minutes of pure mayhem, but it was fun! Barberton HS BB coach Ken Rector was there observing and I asked him if he was going to run that drill with his team.LoL
  12. CG has looked like a real leader at the practices I have attended.
  13. Ha Ha! Me too! I fixed the typo!
  14. I believe the coaching staff has no plans to red-shirt McAdams or Kretzer. By the looks of things in the practices I attended, Justice has moved ahead of Deji on the depth chart because of his ability to knock down the three ball. I saw Egner play more at the 3 than at the 4 position. He has a nice 15 foot jumper and with Q gone, we have a bigger need at the 3 now. I can see some scenarios where Abreu and Melo might see the court together.
  15. I found this article today. Chase’s on when it counts for Giants defense
  16. Did you listen to the post game interview? He said that once BG realized just how thin we were at D-line and linebacker they knew just what to do. We were playing guys that weighed less than 200lbs at D-end and 185lb line backers. Our secondary is all beat up from having to make so many tackles. The game was lost when we didn't capitalize on the scoring opportunities in the first half. The dropped TD pass and the fumble at the 1 yard line. Our only hope was to keep enough pressure on BG that they felt they had to pass to keep up with us. If we had scored 24 in the first half it would have been a different game plan from BG in the second half. Once they got the lead, they played a lot of cover 2 and were able to get good pressure on DW with just rushing 4 guys.
  17. Its obvious that we are paper thin on the D-line. Do we have any O-linemen that we can plug into the defense? Coach Bowden has said that the O-line is probably our most experienced unit with the most depth. Dylan Brumbaugh was a very good defensive end in high school. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
  18. No. Some of us were just respecting the process that was on going at the time of his post.
  19. He's a big guy who takes long strides. They threw it to him 4 times. He caught 2 and had 2 incompletion's. One was the play he was pushed out of bounds and the last one DW had to throw sooner than he wanted because of pressure in the pocket.
  20. I thought I heard him say it was a process!
  21. Looks like a bunch of sharks circling a potential pay day to me.
  22. Dysert had all day to stand in the pocket and pick out a receiver. Our D-line did a good job on the running plays, but put almost zero pressure on the QB. Even a crappy QB can pick apart a defense if he has all day to make the throw. If you're going to play against the spread you have to put pressure on the QB. It's only 5 against 4.
  23. I wonder why Rossi didn't play much? Is he fast enough to be the only linebacker in the Dime defense?
