  1. I'm sure Ianello would have found a way to lose to them!
  2. Butler is leaving the Horizon Conference for the A-10. Butler University leaving Horizon League, most likely for Atlantic-10
  3. I thought several of dalton's interceptions were on plays where he just threw the ball up for grabs when it became obvious that he was going to get sacked. Sacked meaning touched by a defender.
  4. I think LR8 tried last year, but about 10 of them were batted down at the line of scrimmage.
  5. Dennison's "Mantra" was PMA. Positive Mental Attitude. All Jim Dennison ever wanted was to be a football coach. at the time I don't feel he had aspirations to be the AD, but out of loyalty he stayed on as Associate AD. After the Adams fiasco he was asked to step in and try to make some one else's bad decisions work. The Meister is quite right that the MAC was going to ever let UA make the jump directly from l-AA, so we had to prove our intentions as an independent first. YMMV
  6. I don't see any sudden changes. Until the MAC as a whole makes a commitment to improve, the individual schools that are trying are being held back by those who do not care to spend the money necessary to get a consistent at-large bid. Having to play a large # of games each year against conference opponents who have RPI's in the 250+ range makes it very difficult.
  7. I can agree with everything you are saying except this part. Do you really believe that we don't play to win those out of conference games ? Are we just looking at them as some kind of practice scrimmage?
  8. I'll put my money on the Zips, thank you.
  9. Don't quit your day job. Green's DiLaurio orally commits to Illinois for football
  10. Don't hate the playa, hate the game.
  11. Just Believe!
  12. There are things in life that you can't put a price tag on, KD gets it.
  13. I watched Dylan play during his career at Green and I can tell you he is one tough kid. He played both offensive line and defensive line and rarely took a play off. He played defensive end and was double teamed almost every play, but still led the Bulldogs in sacks and tackles for losses. He injured his knee at the beginning of camp last year and I think if not for that injury he would have seen some PT last year.
  14. Things have been in turmoil at McKinley this offseason. They fired the coach and there was a big fight in the community about his replacement. They just hired the new coach, so I'm sure coach Bowden will make his presence known soon enough.
  15. My take. http://zipsnation.org/forums//index.php?s=...st&p=176746
  16. I would love to see the Zips be able to redshirt as many incoming freshmen as possible. KD has been a little too quick in burning redshirts the last few seasons. I agree with CK's assement of Justice. We need as many 3 point shooters as we can get, to spread the floor and give Zeke et all some room to work.
  17. Can you imagine Captain Queeg(RI) ever making that video!
  18. The city just applied to the EPA to have that area designated as a Brownfield Development Area. There is quite a bit of ground contamination there, so what ever is built there is really limited.
  19. Rumored locations are Green and Mogadore.
  20. It would be the logical choice for OU.
  21. And then the crowd changing from "NOOOOOOOOOO...to YESSSSSSSSSSS! when it went in.
  22. I was in the fast food business previously and considered putting a location in the new student center until I found out what UA wanted in return. It was a no brainer to walk away. The big problem with any of these places is that its almost impossible to make any money in the restaurant business to begin with. If you own a franchise. you are stuck giving 6-10% of your gross to them up front and when you are located inside the University they expect a cut also.
  23. I sure was disappointed when I opened this thread and didn't find this;
