If no one produces any proof, then there is no point over rehashing it. I just always find it funny how some people are so quick and serious about squelching some topics. During the bus trip on Monday to WVU, I asked several UA employees, who spent the whole afternoon at the JAR, whether Tressel was at the JAR on Saturday. All of them said that JT was absolutely Not there Saturday.

The next coach to leave Akron by choice, will be the first (in my life). Last time it happened was Gordon Larson, 1972. He stayed on as AD for a few more years.

Todd Porter is reliable source. Almost every other rumor in this thread comes from some anonymous source or post on Twitter. Reporters often use what my brother in law likes to call "weasel words". They will write a story, but leave themselves an out if what they wrote turns out to be inaccurate. Porters comments have very few weasel words and the statement that JT was in Columbus all morning when he was allegedly sighted at UA, was a statement made in a factual manner. Its been a fun ride, but I'm ready to get off and head back to reality. Jim Tressel is not going to be the next coach at UA.

Who is going to be on the search committee for our new HC? Seeing how things went last time, do you want TW to have the final say? I know there is a lot of speculation about who we should hire, but I think this decision about the makeup of the committee is the key to a good hire. Quite a few ZN.O members want Jim Tressel as the coach, but I'm not sure he would be interested. With that said, I would love to see him as the head of the search committee. He has quite a good track record of hiring good assistant coaches, many of whom have moved on and become successful BCS head coaches. What do you think?

I'm looking forward to hearing the band play tonight. I hope they play like they always do, because its very entertaining. I love the Trombone. Being a former Trumpet player, I wish I had learned to play the Trombone. I don't go the games to have a conversation with the people seated next to me, I'm there for the game. You know, the whole event. The cheerleaders, the band, the dance team, the silly contests....... Oh yea, I almost forgot the basketball part.

I've been busy this morning. I took my sons to the shooting range. After yesterday, we needed to get some frustration out. I agree about leaving politics out of sports. Now back to your regular programming.
