There have been multiple scrimmages. Groce uses them to evaluate potential lineups. Winning or losing is secondary to player evaluation.

We get destroyed at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Until that improves our chances of winning will remain where we are at right now.

Hang in there GP1 because this is where Akron is heading starting in 2023. I think the MAC is going to place limits on these sacrificial pay games. The one P5 will include limits like no scheduling top 30 teams from outside your home state. Also a minimum of 6 home games.

Dawson is out for the season.

You are right on the money. Charles hates these money games. Starting in 2024 we will see a much better schedule. Throw out what someone else posted earlier in this thread about who we play starting in 24. 2 new games have been scheduled and we should have 6 home games. The key to success is scheduling OOC games we can win. We need to take the extra 3-5 $million we will be getting from the new football deal and use it to improve our chances of being a winning program. No facilities improvements or using it to cut the existing budget. Winning breeds winning.

I would say it's a 99% chance that Irons does not play. Does it really matter if we lose by 55 pts or 45 pts? The check is the same either way.
