  1. Can't we add one of those captcha things to the forum so when new members sign up they have to prove they are not a robot?
  2. DR is a solid player. What he lacks at the offensive end he makes up with defense and leadership. He also has an amazing motor. Never takes a possession off .This year we will have more offensive weapons.
  3. It is doubtful that either Ali or Edwards will be redshirts. Both have enough talent to see the floor during games. Remember that Edwards was originally a Buffalo commit. He is a prototypical Buffalo recruit, 6'6", long arms, fast and super athletic. After seeing Ali this week I was impressed with his size, athleticism and ability to handle the ball. You don't get quality players if you tell them you are going to redshirt them.
  4. Next time you visit don't worry about not having a parking permit. Odds are you won't get a ticket to begin with and if you do a quick call to parking services will result in the ticket being rescinded. Just tell them you are an alumni making a visit. Also there is no parking enforcement during the first 3 weeks of each semester and as long as the ticket you receive is your first there is no penalty anyways. Just a warning that the next ticket will result in a fine.
  5. He said he was there in late August on a Friday. School started on August 26th I believe. Students were already arriving on campus the week prior. The bookstore was open.
  6. All you had to do was go to the student union center. The bookstore carries the complete line of Zips gear. The are plenty of power outlets available and free wifi too.
  7. I had the opportunity to talk Zaire over the summer. Great kid. He is quite a physical specimen. Too bad things aren't working out.
  8. Reece is quite a physical specimen. Big chest and shoulders. Strong lower body. He looks to have quite a motor so far. A man among boys.
  9. They might have to schedule a makeup field hockey game that day, so that might effect the number of fans that show up at Info.
  10. Usually suspensions like these have nothing to do with the coaching staff. Most likely violations of NCAA rules. That's why there is no information available.
  11. Brad has family commitments that prevented him from continuing as the color guy.
  12. Our friends 17 year old son won $112,500 for finishing 9th in the Fortnite world championships held in NYC several weeks ago. First place paid $1 million. Edit; the winner collected $3 million. Seems he got "Swatted" recently. https://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/27374218/fortnite-champ-bugha-swatted-streaming
  13. Moff is the KSU beat writer for the Record Courier.
  14. Sayles and McIntyre are still with the team. McIntyre is a walk on. Walters is also back as a walk on.
  15. Football generates enough cash flow to cover its operating expenses except for scholarships every year. This comes from a combination of revenue streams such as ESPN bowl payouts, money games , ticket sales etc....The university charges the athletic department around $26k per athlete for tuition. If those 85 scholarships went away do you really think the university would reduce its operating budget by a corresponding amount?

  17. KD once explained to me the plight of the mid-majors. If you want to field a team that has a chance to make some noise comprimises have to be made when recruiting players. The P5 schools gobble up all the sure bet players. Some of them may never see the floor, but hey they played for Duke, NC, etc... That leaves guys who have talent but also some baggage that scared away the big schools. Guys like Tree(bad temper), BigDog(weight issues), Harney(weed, attitude), etc... For a mid-major coach to be successful he has to juggle all these guys with problems and find enough other role players to put together a winning team. Sometimes those combinations just don't work out. With the advent of the transfer rules it has made it easy for players and coaches to get a divorce.
