  1. Hester is no longer with the team.
  2. Do you really think that they would tell you that any member of any coaching staff sucks and deserves to be fired?
  3. Correct
  4. This is better than a bowl game. We play a quality opponent and we get to keep all the money.
  5. Just prior to that I had told my wife what a fine job the lady ref had been doing. Then she blew it!
  6. That was a really bad call. The NIU player merely bumped into Nelson. Does this ruling mean that the 1/2 game suspension against the player is overturned?
  7. The landscape of mid-major basketball is changing. With the new rules on transfers mid-majors are going to be more reluctant to solely recruit HS seniors to fill their rosters. Why spend a couple of years as a training ground for those players so the good ones can just transfer up to a P-5 school to finish their career.
  8. Dave and Shelly are the biggest Zips fans I know. They both volunteer their time and money to help make UA a better place. If there is a Zips sporting event one or both of them is probably in attendance.
  9. I'm guessing Williams and the BOT are thinking the same way.
  10. This has to be a record. Digging up a 9 year old thread!
  11. Ivey, Utomi, Sayles, Jackson, any one of these depending on the matchup(Riak, Hester, Banks, Toles).
  12. If the team lays a big egg this season I think it would take Williams about 5 phone calls to raise the cash.
  13. You will meet at the JAR and travel by bus to Erie. UA is sharing the charter with St Bonnie. When you arrive in Grand Cayman there will be transportation provided to get you to and from the airport, games and all other organized events. There will be a team dinner at some point. When you arrive back in Erie you will be bussed back to the JAR. You will be able to leave you car parked at the JAR for the time you are away. I have traveled with the team on many occasions and it is a blast. Lots of interaction with the players and staff. I will be there and so will ZZZips.
  14. Bryan was a gentle giant. Had the pleasure of playing golf with him a few times. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
  15. Can someone keep this thread updated with the score. In a plane right now flying over the Atlantic and the wifi is not fast enough to load Espn.
  16. Welcome to the way things are done now. Instead of riding the bench as a redshirt freshman, he will be playing and getting better at a prep school.
  17. Partisan politics always applies when it is your ox that is being gored. But when on the opposite side it is just good policy. I have to say though that without those advanced degrees there might be some difficulty in filling positions such as bartenders, hotel clerks, department store sales associates etc... YMMV
  18. Will this help the mid-majors? http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/24446023/ncaa-tournament-selection-committee-ditches-rpi-march-madness-evaluation
  19. I would pin this reduction to the elimination of dozens of GA positions in the athletic department. KD usually had at least 7 GA's. "The College of Health Professions’ BS in Athletic Training, one of the programs to be eliminated, saw one of the largest enrollment drops; with 140 students enrolled in 2015 to just 35 students this past year. "
  20. Right between K-Lac and Utomi.
  21. He is a transfer and has to sit out a year due to transfer rules.
