  1. Unimpressive - Part #1 Unimpressive - Part #2 Mediocre mid-majors. It will be interesting to see if there is any degree of separation between us and them. If our string of 20+ win seasons means anything, we should win both games against this level of competition, especially on a neutral court. Hope Noah has a nice homecoming.
  2. Bilal Ally Some of the seniors who are drawing interest from colleges are center Jake Conrad (Furman commitment). Ally (Akron, Appalachian State, Troy, Gardner Webb, Eastern Kentucky and Presbyterian), Beaulieu and Adams. Ally is hoping to receive more Division I scholarship offers. “He’s the total package,”Hoekstra said. “He has career stats of 5,004 all- purpose yards in 31 games. He’s healthy. He’s explosive in weight room. At 185 pounds, he ran a 4.45 at an Auburn camp.”
  3. Or, maybe no one wants to watch it? How many fans did Stanford draw this year? Maybe 1,000/game? The Zips - 2,000/game? How many fans did you expect in Kansas? 30K? Place both those teams in Kansas, and you draw flies regardless of whether or not Southwest has $199 round trip, non-stop flights.
  4. Mario Moody was a baller. Other than that, BC was who we thought they were. And, they've beaten SC State. So be prepared for another 3-point Hoist-a-thon, 20+ point blowout on December 30th. At least Robotham is getting some extended game time to work his knee back into shape without risking a loss. But I'm officially tired of the cupcakes. Next to filling InfoCision, maybe Larry Williams #2 responsibility can be forcing an upgrade to the OOC home schedule.
  5. Joe Moorhead to Penn State Congrats to Joe! One of the all-time best fan-friendly coaches (OC under Brookhart) in Zips football history.
  6. I heard The 'Stache got picked up by Rutgers. Good luck Coach Okruch!
  7. It's now winter break. What students? I wish they held some back for distribution to fans possessing a receipt from a team sponsor...since I will be frequenting The Score until about 6:45 pm.
  8. This is the guy that makes a living summarizing blogger comments for the ABJ. Ask Keener about him.
  9. "Grantland Rice Jr's" Twitter Account
  10. Unless your school name begins with "Trinity," you're gonna say: "Om...nom...nom..."
  11. Isn't Arkansas Cream-Puff our traditional Arkansas-based confectionery?
  12. VanVleet has been hurt. He was back tonight, and they beat UNLV @ home. They'll be dangerous again come March.
  13. Me thinks it is Jinks
  14. Salt Lake Column
  15. Talk about potatoes here, but please talk about Jojo's in the recruiting forum. Likewise, any French discussions, or Frye talk, should be in an appropriate non-potato Zips forum.
  16. I like at the 5:35 mark where he says "We knew when we went down to Miami that we were going to kick their a...". And the he got a little animated as he talked about "whipping Buffalo." Terry and the Zips getting a little swagger? I like it!
  17. $154,000 to have your program marketed on a national scale for a couple weeks seems to be a nice deal. How much did UA spend on t-shirts for a single Cavs game?
  18. The last time OU played in this bowl there were 28k in attendance. The bowl has averaged well over 20k attendance since it's inception. And the capacity is only 37k, so barring a blizzard it will be a great environment. And a profitable bowl. I think it will be the coolest. I don't think I will be able to attend, but so what. Congrats to the Zips on playing in a 2015 bowl!
  19. Hit 'em with a few Statue of Liberty's...a couple Hook-n-Ladders...a fake FG or two...win the game, and we are Bowl Immortals.
  20. VanHoose was another great Marshall player from that era. Around 2002 was pretty much the end of the MAC basketball heyday. Ball State had some awesome teams, let by Bonzi Wells. OU had Gary Trent. K.e.n.t. was rolling. Miami had some fantastic teams. It is amazing to me how many of those former juggernaut programs, with then NBA-level talent, have become hoops-irrelevant.
  21. Too late. Hilltopper already broke the news.
  22. You are what you eat.
  23. Om..nom...nom...
  24. The long wait for the bowl decision is a serious football buzz-kill.
  25. It was interesting to hear Dambrot discuss his quandary in the post game interview - "Big Dog and Pat could do whatever they wanted inside, offensively. But even our guards couldn't defensively keep up with their guards...so there was no way I could play both our bigs at the same time." He then said "Maybe it was the wrong decision...I don't know" I thought it was kind of insightful. Joe Dunn did a nice job with his post game questions last night. Kwan did a bad job with his layups last night.
