  1. Olive Green?
  2. Yay, we're in the ACC!! Keener will be stoked!
  3. Interesting note: The Zips averaged 170.2 yards per game on the ground, 46.5 yards better than last season. Additionally, the Zips rushed for 2,043 total yards, exceeding year's season total of 1,484 (after just 10 games). Akron also allowed nine fewer sacks.
  4. Or, 8pm start = more time at the bar before the game.
  5. I agree. Early in the season, I forget what game, she gave Coe a personal foul penalty that I'm still trying to figure out. Beyond that, I've hardly noticed her. So she doesn't seem to be any different than the guys.
  6. Toledo Blade Column Like her? Hate her?
  7. As a Zips fan, it is great to be going into the "closing time" of recruiting season with the quarterback position solidified, a winning staff in place, a bowl berth and a winning record. Couple all of that with our facilities, and I'd expect we'll have a great 2016 recruiting class. To quote Charlie Frye from his Frenchy interview: "If you're a high school football player, why wouldn't you want to come here?"
  8. So I guess the passports were necessary so eveyone can cross the bridge to watch the Windsor Ballet?
  9. We need to shoot deeper 3's. NBA range isn't working for us.
  10. Zips win in a blow-out. 45-13. Why even play the game?
  11. Ohio is pretty good.
  12. Interesting to see former Zips commit Jacob Harrison is now committed to Navy. Good for him.
  13. He didn't redshirt as a Freshman, so can use 2015 as a redshirt season.
  14. Great to see him get some recognition. Ascending from a week 3rd stringer, to a Week 11 POTW is awesome. Congrats Tommy! Now - BEAT K.e.n.t!
  15. We also have Jones (BC transfer) to bolster the secondary next season.
  16. Seemed like a good idea to get this one rolling asap, or we'll lose track of it. November 23rd, 2015 Kretzer - racing heart - Status unknown Forsythe - Broken rib - Out indefinitely Ivey - Floaters in the knee - Out ≈2 weeks Williams - Back spasms - Day-to-day Robotham - ACL- Out ≈4 weeks
  17. If we lose to K.e.n.t, at home, on Senior Day, with a bowl berth on the line, I think that would be my final straw as a Zips fan. I'm guessing we win by 20+.
  18. Why? Who did an umbrella kill? Who's view is being blocked in an empty stadium? Tell me what is wrong with designating a completely empty upper deck section to "umbrellas only?"
  19. Think DJ Cooper ever thought he was better than an opposing P5 guard? I LOVE it! If you don't think you're better than the other guy, why step on the court? And...Antino just might be right?
  20. I think the best quote of the night was at the end of the Antino interview when Frenchy said "You'll need to be ready for Jalen Brunson on Sunday" and Antino replied "No. He'd better be ready for me."
  21. Seems like the photographer was a big fan of Antino?
  22. I'm going to say something crazy here...but how about...the Zips allow umbrellas for Saturday's game? Oh, believe me I know the dangers that umbrellas inherently add to sporting events...people's eyes getting gouged out and whatnot...and I know that umbrellas can obstruct the game view. But what if you moved your butt left or right into the seat next to you if an umbrella was in your way? There will be 25,000 empty seats around you...pick one. Or set up "The University of Akron Ohio's Polytechnic University Umbrella Zone" in one of the completely empty sections, where fans can sit if they want to risk the danger of getting stabbed by a little girl with a pink Hello Kitty umbrella? Some outside the box m-f'er came up with "Bring Your Dog to the Ball Park" days. And people seem to love them. Umbrella pokings can be deadly. But I think the risk of getting bit by someone's yippy dog...or stepping in a pile of crap, is much worse. C'mon, Larry Williams..."Are You Out There™?" Make umbrellas happen @ InfoCision!! You have the power!
  23. I'm sure those were added because lower-seat fans didn't like wading through the sea of humanity that was huddled under the overhang trying to escape the downpour. Seems like a big overreaction to a one-time occurrence (not rain, which happens every home game, but the combination of rain + a good crowd).
