  1. I hear he has been working hard on his 6-pack abs?
  2. "STO/MAC"? Sounds like a marketing opportunity for Tums or Pepsid?
  3. Are entrance fees of boxes of Mac-n-Cheese and used $1 scratch off lottery tickets over? Just curious. Cheap-ass, relative, 1-day-per-year Zips fans are asking me.
  4. Yeah, that propane injury set him back. I think the only good move Ianello made his entire tenure was deciding to redshirt ZipsWin! in 2011. I don't want to sound like a stalker, but I have seen ZipsWin! at BW-3's several times over the winter, usually before basketball games, and he appears to be rehabbing hard. I predict not only will he tailgate in 2012...I say he earns his scholarship back!!
  5. Bowden may have lost Wagner, which is a blow to the Zips defense for 2012. But he kept Keener in the fold, which is the key to quality tailgating in 2012. Thank you Coach Bowden!
  6. The Zips are a great fast break team, and a bad half-court offensive team. When we play hard-nose D we get stops, and fast break opportunities. When we play lazy D, the opponent makes shots, and has time to get back. It makes all the difference in the world when we're in the opponent's grill on the perimeter, and Zeke is being disruptive in the paint. D is the key.
  7. Coached by Keith Dambro
  8. Depends on where you're from...
  9. Won our first outright Men's Basketball Regular Season Championship. Beat K.e.n.t., in K.e.n.t., to achieve it. Awesome job guys. It doesn't get any better. How many different posters can join me in this thread? 75? 175? Let's see...
  10. Awaiting a response to this question....should be a doosie.
  11. K.e.n.t. should have been up by 20 at the half. They suck. I promise that.
  12. I think the OU fan that started this thread can't spell Abreu's name correctly. An action which is consistent with most of her posts.
  13. If you need a beer in InfoCision, then you are a tailgating wuss. Or just don't know how to put cans of beer in your pocket. I predicted it 3 years ago. Hope it is true, so I can chalk up yet another stupid thing UA did that I told them they'd reverse.
  14. Your living room must void of light because there is no way in hell McClanahan came CLOSE to traveling. His 1st dribble came abour 0.005 seconds after his FIRST foot hit the ground, let alone a second. Excuses for the refs on those traveling calls are pure fantasy. It is no wonder they traveling calls disappeared in the second half, after setting an NCAA D-1 record for travels called in the 1st half. Someone from the MAC office called them at 8pm and told them to cut it the F*** out. I still marvel at the travel call on Zeke on his 1st shot of the Buffalo game. MAC refs suck. Please, someone reviewe tape. But we won anyhow.
  15. My wife just emailed me the current time, and confirmed Can't State still sucks. Back to work.
  16. I have to believe this is a misquote, since any reporter with a clue would have followed up such a response with: "So you are telling me you prefer to lose to K.e.n.t? On national television? Can you please elaborate? I've never hear that from a Zips player, in any sport, before." That quote is pure Ianello.
  17. Can B. Alexander be far behind?
  18. NCST was 3-9, in a terrible football conference. One of those three wins was against a 1-AA program.
  19. Of course you wouldn't take offense. You read the post in its entirety and understand the complete message. But there are some who focus only on a tiny, fragmented "sound bite" and ignore the other 98%. Those people are a struggle to enlighten. But we forge onward...
  20. If 1 out of 5 doesn't play D, the whole 5 look bad.
  21. 1.) I will always share my weed with you. Say what you want about the Captain, he is a generous, sharing soul. 2.) Anyone who doesn't get a heightened level of concern after losing to OU by 20+ is an idiot. But a single blow out doesn't necessarily mean there's a trend. You only need to look back at last season's OU road loss to see such beatdowns can be quickly forgotten. BG is playing great basketball, and we handled them with relative ease last week (while BG got within 3 late, they never really threatened). Buffalo should be similar...if we've learned from our recent mistakes.
  22. We played two upper-mid major teams, who already had 22+ wins, on the road, and lost. I can't start chugging Drano and worrying that KD has "lost the team." What were those two opponent's home records...something like a combined 31-1 this season? Hipsher lost his team with regularity. It was as much a part of spring as May Day and bock beer. Comparatively, here's been nothing remotely close to team chemistry problems under Dambrot. Chemistry is the least of my concerns. The Zips big problem has been playing "me" ball and not "us" ball. When anyone but Abreu drives the lane, it's a shot. The dribble-penetration-and-pass has been forgotten. The Turnover has replaced it. Likewise, Zeke needs to man-up. He's the difference between the Zips achieving new heights in 2011-12, or being just another nice MAC program. Zeke's had his lunch handed to him at ORU and OU. Buffalo is big enough to give him another lunch if he doesn't come ready to battle. I think some home-cooking on Senior night is just what the Zips need. Akron 75 Buffalo 71
  23. Mississippi State is MUCH better basketball-wise than NC State was, football-wise. Likewise, the Zips hoops team circa 2011-12 is a much better program than the 2006 Zips Football program. Both significant, slightly-below-historical wins for their respective sports. But not comparable.
  24. Can't go wrong with winning breads...mmmm....
  25. What BS! The fix is on.
