I agree with CK, very rarely is there good info on that board anymore and when good threads are started they always end up in name calling and Marshall Bashing. I could care less if it disbanded.

They did this two years ago (Lee's last year) for all games if I remember correctly. Unfortunatly by the third game of the season I ran out of different Akron hats to buy. I think its a great promotion. Not only do you get a but in the stands, you get another person wearing akron gear around town.

Couldn't agree more ZB, the only thing that rivals this year for me was the 1997 Zips Basketball season. While it ended prematurely, I was living abd breathing Zips that year. It sounds like we're about the same age so we both have no memory of true success. Hopefully it's right around the corner for both programs.

On the other hand, Akron's record versus the only NCAA Tournament MAC team? 2-0 Maybe we should have been considered more closely for the NCAA rather than the NIT!

I disagree, we would be in the NIT right now had we beat WMU. We would have a better record than them, but they beat us in the regular season, we're in the same conf., so there's no real difference between the two squads except for the tourney game. We win, we go to the NIT, thats my take.

Just one time.........one time.........could we please just win a big game when it counts! Just one time can we exceed expectations and pull a "oakland" and win the conf. tourney! Just one time can we be the team that "makes plays" at the end of a game. Just one time, can a zip player hit the 20 footer with 15 seconds on the clock to win it! Just one time can a defense make a play in the fourth quarter to seal the deal! I love the Zips, but just one time, can I get my hopes up for something special and actually have it happen! King Zip just wanted to thank you for your many gleafull and optomistic posts you have recently posted. Attendance has generally been good all year. This was a odd situation coming off the road loss to Buffalo and playing a less than steller EMU team. Nevertheless, it was a "tournament" game and attendance should have been much much better. JP

Everyone needs to e-amil this guy.....what an idiot. Here's my e-mail to him: Have you seen a single MAC game this year? Probably not or you would retract your statement. Fact of the matter is, the tournament is still an "exclusive affair," except that it no longer "EXLUDES" quality teams from quality conferences. Gone are the "good ole' days" when year in and year our there were always 8 Big ten teams, 8 ACC teams, 8 PAC ten teams, ect. Suppose your a graduate of one of those "exclusive" conference schools? Anyway, your article sucked, only wanted to respond to your "cheap shot" at the MAC and Akron.

I wondered about the Google thing? Hopefully a first or second page would increase the traffic. I still think we need to make Zipsnation T-Shirts Anyway great job ZW!
