  1. The punter is doing a good job, he just needs to relax and remember to catch the ball. As far as placekicking goes, we need Igor to get better in one quick hurry. Game experience is a big deal and he's getting none. We've managed to squeak by so far without him, but the MAC schedule is going to be brutal, and it starts this week. We've got to have a consistant kicker to contend again.
  2. That took aquite a while , but it was some fun reading. Passionate fans, I'll give them that.
  3. I gotta say that Harvey has been totally impressive. He's small, so he's not gonna break too many tackles, but they're gonna have to catch him first. It seems like he gets open on every play. Once they get this thing rolling, Harvey, Jabari and Kasparek may be tough to defend. That is if Crouch can keep ANYONE off on Luke.
  4. "Honestly, I think Akron could finish 5-3 in the ACC this year if they played our schedule."The Zips impressed some people down there, yesterday. This was a quote I found on the link that gozips88 posted.
  5. I agree. Can it even be done? Are there rules about that type of thing?
  6. WOW. We all thought it was possible, but actually seeing it happen is so freaking awesome. Going for the td was a no brainer, and I knew Kennedy waould find a way to get it into the end zone!
  7. My heart can't take much more!!! D-E-F-E-N-S-E!
  8. Oh my God, this has become torture!
  9. What a great half by the Zips defense...they're hitting like maniacs.Getsy and the offense need to be more consistent....run the ball some more. It's working
  10. I had my Time-Warner cable removed this morning and Directv installed. I am ready to go! I don't care who gets my money, but I HAD to have ESPNU!
  11. Sean Lee had a lot more of Crouch's jersey than Crouch had of his. Roll the video tape and see for yourself. That one really hurt, because it negated a first down. The tackle that Crouch made against Shaw wasn't intended to be dirty, either. He is slow footed and was badly beaten, so he tackled him. It was so obvious that I cringed when I saw it happening. Too bad Shaw got hurt on the play, I am sure Crouch didn't intend that.I have looked several times but I can't see what happened with Alleman.
  12. With as little respect as possible, who gives a damn. This is the Zips forum. LOL. Well said, uadavid.
  13. Anyone who reads that letter from Terry Pluto and thinks it is a put down is out of his freaking mind! It is a very complimentary article. He goes into detail saying how the Zips and JD are making major strides in the right direction. You people are just looking for something to bitch about, and picking on Pluto is always fashionable on here, I guess.
  14. I was on the edge on my seat every time a kicker ran onto the field. These kids will get it together. A lot was asked of them yesterday. Bad weather, 111,000 people and neither one had ever kicked in a game before. All in all, not too bad, I guess. Just catch the ball, first from now on. (Everyone but Tuzze, that is!)

    MAC

Sun Belt and CUSA, today. The Big East and WAC, tomorrow.
  16. Looks like he'll be on the field soon.http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=334&storyID=5852
  17. There are only two seasons as far as I am concerned. Football season and not football season.
  18. What is a better use of your dollar - a chance to win 5K betting on Can't to win the MAC or buying the Saturday ABJ to read their preview of the Penn State and NCSU games? No kiddin'? I think I am gonna put $10 on Can't to win the MAC, lol.
  19. So, the guy who wanted me to pay $525 for my parking space is leaving? I am all for it! I just hope it wasn't his idea to leave! Maybe now I can get my spot back!
  20. I really don't think we should be offended by a ranking like this one. I believe the Zips are a talented offensive team. They are, however, unproven. Only two wr have ever caught a ball in a game and only one tailback (Berchie and Mcdaniel are fullbacks) has ever had a carry. We all know that they are talented, but we're fans and are expecting the best out of them. Sure, we've got Getsy. We also have a nice returning offensive line and a couple of tough tight ends. My guess is that they end up quite a bit higher that 90, but I am not gonna worry about it. I am just gonna sit back and watch them score while that ranking just keeps climbing.
  21. I am biased, but I agree with this guy. Charlie is gonna do a great job, and he'll be here for a long time.
  22. Good for Chase. He needs the NY fans to be behind him. They're brutal if you get on their bad side.
  23. i dunno about the numbers, but with the end zone closed off the stands will appear to be more full for a tv audience
