  1. I think I feel worst for the alumni. The players at least can finish out somewhere else and have an ongoing football program to associate with. The existing alumni (who were fans) will no longer be able to go to a football game of their alma mater and are bitter toward the big brother school/trustees. I guess they will become Auburn fans. A good article with lots of MAC references: http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/breaking/20141203_With_costs_spiraling_up_a_college_tosses_out_football.html?id=284622931 Other Possibilities: Northern Illinois Rumors are the Huskies are quite unhappy with the MAC, and along with Ohio might be looking to leave. http://www.underdogdynasty.com/2014/12/3/7327255/uab-football-fallout-who-replaces-the-blazers-in-conference-usa
  2. Breaking down the potential UAB transfershttps://medium.com/@andrewrivins/breaking-down-the-potential-uab-transfers-5b8268ebaae3
  3. I'm sure TW put in a good word for him.
  4. He'll be back sooner than later.
  5. Some way-random and premature speculation about UAB fallout and CUSA looking at Ohio MAC schools: http://www.csnbbs.com/thread-716152.html
  6. Again, no questioning of the coach(es) for any explanations...is he afraid to talk to TB?
  7. I believe Urban Meyer could have (BG). Brian Kelly probably could have (CMU). Jerry Kill possibly (NIU). They won at other MAC schools, you think they would have fallen flat at Akron?
  8. http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/30/us/ohio-state-player-dead/index.html More bad concussion news..
  9. UAB: Bill Clark stated this morning that he believes the administration is going to shut down their football program (h/t Joe Schad). “Unless something changes before the weekend ends, I think the odds are very high it ends this week.” Completely unacceptable UAB. Completely unacceptable.
  10. Lady Zips opened up a 20 point 2nd half lead 61-41. Siena fighting back now.
  11. I'm more concerned about the makeup of the coaching staff for next year before I start worrying about any of the player personnel issues. I'm sure we will hear something soon.
  12. Kendall Grayson ‏@Kendall_Grayson 32m32 minutes ago @Elliott_Grayson & I at @CollegeGameDay representing @ZipsMGolf !
  13. Defenses had too much vittles and moonshine yesterday, apparently.
  14. Running the ball opens up the offense in football. Pounding the ball inside opens up the offense in basketball.
  15. Come on, now. Everyone knows IMHO. "I Am Not A..." is also very commonly abbreviated and the rest of it is obvious from the context. I can't believe anyone would want to waste server space and keystrokes spelling everything out, I mean WTH?
  16. +1. IANABC, but IMHO the top priority at the beginning of each half offensively should be to draw fouls. Work the ball inside and/or drive to the bucket, put some fouls on their starters, get to the line for a few points and loosen up the defense. When you come out shooting cold from the field, we see what happens. Take some pressure off of the outside shooting % and more of them will go in.
  17. Likely to be a figure with direct ties to JT, per reports.
  18. I hear the game is creating a lot of buzz over on the Can't campus..
  19. Well that was quick and decisive. That's a tough job, working for a boss who has won multiple FCS championships at the same school, as well as an FBS championship. Should be interesting to see who they bring in.
  20. Both being converted Flash QB's who both wreaked running havoc on the Zips.
  21. I am not a video gamer but this is interesting: http://www.twitch.tv/ziggy_marsh
  22. That's what losing will do. Could be danger signs for Mike Thomas...he hired the current Illini football coach in 2011.
  23. per footballscoop.com... Marshall's Doc Holliday is a candidate for Florida HC J. Tressel will be meeting with himself tomorrow to determine the future of YSU's HC. Seems they are only averaging 7 wins over the last few years.
  24. http://www.wfsb.com/story/27425270/snow-problem-despite-snow-and-cold-Can't-travels-to-buffalo-to-play http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-30126046 I just got around to looking at this...pretty crazy. Not that I would ever feel sorry for Can't but they had to take a 150 mile 6 hour detour around the snowstorm just to get to UB. The field had been cleared but then the 2nd wave of snow hit. It was too much to deal with. I'm not sure when they returned or if they were able to take I-90 back to Ohio.
  25. I like that it wraps all the way around and is not walled at either end like BG or Miami OH.
