The Bowdens are faith-based folks from the south. Now it appears there is an opening at a faith-based university in the south. If we make a bowl game this year they are sure to notice TBHC. Just sayin... http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/11490096/june-jones-resigns-smu-mustangs-coach
We gave up 3 touchdowns passing (one of which was completely uncovered), none on the ground. I hope you're right and Pitt tries a power running game. Either way, we need to do some running of our own and catch our passes.

Tosu has a bye in week 4 so that won't be a factor. It's good to know that tickets are still available for this game for as little as $93 !?! http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/schedules/FBS/week4
Thanks. I think PSU is going to cause major headaches in the Big 10 this year. I think most of our games will be close the rest of the way...hopefully we will solidify the "win small" stage of our development.

The Zips haven't opened up a season with back-to-back losses since the 2002 season when they dropped games to North Carolina and Wake Forest on their way to a 10-8-2 campaign under then head coach Ken Lolla. Akron went on to win the MAC Tournament that year as well. http://www.gozips.com/sports/msoc/2014-15/releases/201409056no0nj
Series tied at 2-2. Both of their wins knocked us out of the NCAA tourney. +1. You'd think every college coach would have encountered this situation at some point. It's easy to understand how the mistake could be made: you want to receive to begin the 2nd half, so you know you're going to kick off to begin the first half. You win the opening toss so you choose to kick off...oops. Like you say, it needs to be drilled into the players to *defer* and the coaches should know that.
I think I've found the solution: Schedule our games at the same time as Tosu, carry the Nuts game on the scoreboard during our game, and hand out Urban Meyer bobbleheads to the first 30K fans
Down to 15.5 point spread here. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/odds Sounds like the PSU-UCF game was a lot of fun " in front of a raucous 55,000-strong crowd in Ireland." http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=400547642 I wonder if the Irish know about the American tailgating tradition?
If our front 7 can slow down their running game and get some penetration it will be a lot of fun, but I hope our LB's are prepared for a lot of pass coverage.
