Brought this back for fun since JC7 had a big day. The radio guys felt that he is responding to the challenge from CH34 with a new style of running. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO RACER?WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HIM IN AWHILE .
Small bump if it's mostly sunny around noon. Also, Tosu is on bye week for another small bump. Notre Dame plays at 3:30 so mostly just Protestants at Infocision and rumor has it 90% of students will be at work. It's getting cooler out so the MU fans will be busy shopping for new sweaters in Cincinnati
I'll predict a Zips win and a small crowd (55 degrees & cloudy, boring opponent). Also, there will be 1 and only 1 additional element of the CG36 dive package used/revealed.
Ignore the Vegas line and play them like they're the Miami Hurricanes and we are big underdogs (although I must say it's great to have the ace in the hole that we do...hopefully we can keep saving it til later...)
Listening to the games, I hear SFPBPA say "he was wide open" a couple times per quarter it seems. It's probably more of an issue with linebackers trying to drop into correct coverage as needed. No defense can lock down all receivers on every play but hopefully that phrase can be used less than half a dozen times per game vs. our MAC opponents.
I'll set the over/under for Zips dropped passes at 4.5. Wet weather would mean fewer passes but a slipperier ball. I'll set the over/under for EMU wide-open receiver catches at 7.5 (for entertainment purposes only...IANAB).
Be sure to click on the "Too Low" button for the Zips. At least it gets us a little name recognition for all the eyeballs that look at the poll. We are almost into the top half
+1. Play them like they're the Michigan State Spartans. Don't even look at the Vegas line on this one...pretend we are the underdogs at home. Run the ball, catch every pass, no turnovers, no dumb penalties. Go Zips!
