  1. just some quick thoughts on the game.the more i watch harvey play the more he reminds me of terry glenn. the kid can flat out play!luke played like most of us thought he'd play all year. had a very good command of the o today and the team had a good flow most of the game. by far one of his better games.glad to see j.d. stick with the run but i would have liked to see walker get a few more carries towards the end of the game. its possible that j.d. was trying to get d.k. another 100 yard game?i think this has been said every game but way too many flags!!! are we becoming the miami of the mac?i am glad most people are seeing what i've been writing about c.j. today. the kid is still very raw but has a ton of talent.the d made some good adjustments against the run in the second half and was very impressed with stokes and jones. jones is on his was to super star status.while the attendance was a little low at the game the "in the seats" attendance wasn't as bad as some are saying. they reported just under 15k and i am guessing a little over 10k were there. i don't think all stayed the entire game either and i assume that skewed the numbers.over all a very solid game for the zips! if they stick with the run and stay away from turn overs they'll have a great chance at winning out!
  2. i saw in rasor's blog that jackson was told he wouldn't have played reguardless. did he do something or was his practice poor heading into the game?
  3. i heard that too and that is what it sounded like to me.
  4. lets get another title boys! click me
  5. heres another update on mark jackson click mefor those that don't have rivals mark is trying in enroll for spring and has offers from mich. oklahoma ill. and possible the bucks. very little mention of akron so it doesn't look good
  6. I was told there is no Z-Fund donation necessary for the upper reserved. I tried to donate to the Z-Fund via the ticket office anyhow, but for whatever reason they couldn't handle it. This, even though you can donate to the Z-Fund via the mail-in ticket form. But of course the mail-in form was screwed up, so...oh, forget it. if that is the case then i take back everything i've said... at least it wasn't on loose paper this time!
  7. the ticket info on mine shows upper as 150 and that matches. it also shows a discloser that a z fund is required and to call 3330-972-8641. in the middle there is an expiation of priority seating and a diagram of how much each section costs for a z fund donation... maybe we are talking about a different Boucher?
  8. ``He's impatient but he's getting better about it.''i love the fact that this kid thinks he should be in there! the capt. said that you need to be a leader at qb and that is a perfect sign of a leader. i also agree with the last post that cj is very quick. i remember him shake a guy out of his shoes in the spring game. also his 40 in high school lists him at 4.6 i am sure its something between that and the 4.8 he posted this year. i hope he gets a couple of series in a row and not a one here one there so he can get a flow for the game.
  9. he has a redshirt year to burn. click me
  10. i didn't think i'd be saying this so soon but i'd like to give some props to the ticket dept. just got my brochure in the mail for basketball season tickets and its 100 times better than the flyer done by the 8yr. old for the football team. it folds out, has great pics, and mostly tells me about the ticket plans!!!!!! keep up the good work boys and i am happy you replaced the chimp and 8yr. old.
  11. what happened to nate robinson yesterday? i saw that he didn't play and had been playing really well against the run lately.
  12. here's the link click meits on insider but they are giving the akron preview free right now
  13. agreed on most of the points capt. robinson looked great today. i was very happy to see more reserves in the game. it kept the starters fresh. glad to see the student section rockin again but it seemed like they left a little early... i did see pace get in the game but only on special teams. and one final shout out to the softball team for challenging my friends in a game of beer realy! great tailgating good time!
  14. lets not worry about the other teams right now lets just worry about winning out. 8-4 is what most thought we'd finish and if the team gets its act in gear it can accomplish this. never give up on the roo baby!
  15. two things come to mind with this question. 1. coaching. many have already posted that akron isn't making any adjustments during the game and that is very ture. i don't think this has been brought up before but i feel akron really has missed jim pry. he worked very closly with luke last year and had a good feel for what akron's offense could or could't do.2. players and coaching again. this is two part as the o line hasn't played well at all! last week i posted the question as how the line would look if changes were made and the results were much the same. they get no push off the line and DK has no were to run. when you can't keep the d honest it becomes harder to make adjustments.that being said the wide outs need to step up and make catches and luke needs to make better decisions with the ball and not get antsy in the pocket.with that being said the season isnt even close to over and the team will get better mostly due to a easier schedule and some games at home (finally)
  16. i swear kosar himself could run for 100 yrds against us. j.d. needs to tell the d its ok to hit the qb
  17. thank you
  18. i know i started a similar thread sorry i think this is importantdepth chart updated no changes on o. but chaven pace is no were to be found on d with jason nedd showing as the starter and kabir listed second on the cart.....any one have an update on this?
  19. here's the link for frenchy's interview with tommy g on the bear cats web page.. not too badclick me
  20. i am still not sure if crouch needs to sit but some of theese younger guys need some game reps. does anyone know if any of the younger guys are getting more reps during practice? also on the left side is donaldson. he's too slow! i agree we need to see some more of shepe (sp) bates, and anderson. i don't want to see any major shake ups as o lines need reps as a unit but something needs to be done if this continues.
  21. i don't think i am jumping the gun by saying this but is it time to consider making some changes with the starters? the left side of the o line is not performing well at all. crouch looks very slow and is holding the line back. what has happened to kaz? he can't catch a cold and isn't blocking well either. on d tate looked like he had no clue out there. i am not sure if there is an option to replace him or if his performance was more due to a poor defensive scheme? all of these players have performed well in the past but have been looking very flat. any one else out there seeing what i am seeing?
  22. lets go zips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. good catch! sorry was reading something else when i put the post up. my bad!
  24. most of you know that fox sports will be showing the game on sat. but for those not in the ohio area espn game plan has picked up the game.
  25. if they get out to a early lead the game won't be close as Can't can not throw the ball. if they have trouble in the rain and get off to a slow start akron will win a much closer game. reguardless akron has too much talent.
