Coach kest definitely had an impressive resume and i know that the last 2 classes recruited by coach kennedy were good ones so i am looking for immediate results (a winning season) as soon as next year.

I agree with every thing GoZips said except redshirting Bardo. I never seen him play and i heard that he is not the greatest talent but i still think that we can not afford redshirting him because Quade is not very reliable. I know he played good at temple but he played horrible at Creighton. So i really don't feel like we can count on him to be consistent.

You guys are already hating on coach porter and selling him short before even his first opening day... give the man a break !I am all for the big contract for JD as long as it is not coming out of tuition.

Whether Mraz is returning or not does not make a big difference here. All i'm saying is that we need to recruit bigger kids! If we go with your plan (redshirting Bardo), our biggest guy on the floor would be Romeo at 6-7 and we would have Jeremiah (who is originally a 6-6 PF) at center and his substitute happens to be a very inconsistent (until now) skinny Quade milum facing Can't's 7 footer and Buffalo's Ibdihi and other big Centers in the league not to mention outside the league.That's my concern !

Up to my knowledge, here is how the depth chart of our 06-07 basketball team looks like:PG - Dru Joyce, Steve McNees, Darryl Roberts, Jeremy Sallee, Chad Mraz.SG - Nick Dials, Cedrick Middleton, Jimmy Conyers, Zach Sowers, Nick Goddard.SF - Nate Linhart, John Rybak.PF - Romeo Travis, Chris McKnight, Quade Milum.C - Jeremiah Woods, Mike Bardo.We have 5 players for each of the guard positions and only two for the forwards and the Center. Our biggest guy is Bardo at 6-9, and he reportedly needs a lot of work. I was really hoping to see this last scholarship go to a 6-9+ guy instead of another guard. But Oh well in KD i trust !

I agree with you that the only games that we might loose are miami and Toledo !Our only competitor for the MAC east title is Miami. Ohio, buffalo, BG and Can't they are all bad teams. Unless we screw up big time (which we did last year with army), i can't see anything worse than 6-2 MAC.

Can't won't be horrible next year. I know that they have 4 graduating seniors but they have a 7 footer freshman and armon gates and omni smith returning.Don't get me wrong ! We will beat them but they will not be horrible.

A group of 30 akron guys where heading east in a bus where they decided to stop in Can't for breakfast. For the sake of saving time, they all delegated one guy to step out and get 30 bagels for all thirty people. The guy at the bagel store (from Can't) recognized that the customer was from Akron and immediately started telling him that the Akron people are so mean to Can't staters and that just because they can't read and write and can't play football or guard their student section etc... that all this doesn't mean that the Can't staters are less smart etc...At this time the bagels were ready so he asked the customer:Do you want to eat the 30 bagels here or do you want me to wrap them to go ?

That's so messed up ! we don't get to play home games in september and october when the weather is nice and we get our home games in Nov under blizzards and freezing temperatures... what the hell !

I think that we are stretching this issue a bit too far !I would obviously love to see more zips coverage in the ABJ but i don't agree with all the trashing it is getting on this board. After all, the ABJ is a business trying to please their customers (readers and advertizers), and i am sure that they do some market surveying and research that is showing them that the readers have more interest in reading about the buckeyes than the zips.So, our problem is not with the ABJ, our problem is with their readers (the people of akron). I know that we had 10k going to the MCB but i also know that we had no more than 15k attending our regular season games in the Rubber bowl while at least 50k (in the greater Akron area) stayed home and watched OSU on TV. Similarly, it is easy to see that OSU gear sells better the Akron gear in the Akron Area.

I think that (in general), males can cry and that does not make them less masculine... However, (basketball wise), i feel that those kids, morrison included, are going too far with their "acting", i am affraid that they will do anything to attract the camera... When duke lost to LSU, JJ Reddick, had tears in his eyes but he kept walking to the locker room, i admire him and i have no problem with him crying all he wants in the locker room. Compare that to Morrison's weeping on the floor in front of the cameras and you know what i mean !
