Does anyone know B1G Network channel # on DirectTV? If I were home I could watch on cable! -

B1G Network isn't on Direct TV?? Not where I'm eating lunch! Thank you Skye Harter. Checking game tracker at least. -
This is from Gozips.com. Stats for RBs. Suggs and Devanier have played one game each. Think we need to give them more opportunity. Especially considering what the upperclass is offering... https://gozips.com/cumestats.aspx?path=football&year=2018

THAT is the question I want answered -- in the affirmative!!!

Per Tweet from FoxSports College Basketball Insider Evan Daniels, JUCO post player Camron Reece, a pre-season 2nd team All-American has verbally committed to Akron.

Nice trip, despite the heat (their women's team faced the same that night in Hawaii). Mahalo for the description! Just wondered what the GCU crowd size was. The stadium seats 6500! 2 yrs old. And of course the legendary Shel Hyndmann in the coaches box.

Who would take him at his age? Seriously? smh

Okay, folks. Here's the opportunity for a Zips Old Guy to turn on the Way Back Machine and show how history comes close to repeating itself! I was at the Bowl in, IIRC, 1983 when Dennison's Zips played Morehead St late in the season in a must-win game that featured a play similar to the finish in Evanston. I've written about this before, and I call it "The Stupid Punter Play". Under 10 secs remained in the half, and we had the ball at the Morehead 40 YL. Coach Dennison puts his freshman punter, Kevin Kendall from Green on the field -- but MUST have told him not to kick the ball -- "Just run around till the clock expires." But, he failed to account for Kendall's rookie green-ness. The punter took the snap from center, and there was no rush by MSU, who were willing to go to the locker room. Unfortunately, Kendall panicked, and failed to do what he needed to do - take a knee, and after Morehead players finally rushed toward him (as fans shouted for him to just "FALL DOWN!!") he turned and ran -- straight toward his own end zone -- from where under pressure he threw the ball up like a ticking bomb, out of bounds! Everyone assumed the Zips escaped to the locker room safe from everything but embarassment. Then after the band show, as the teams returned to the field, the PA announcer made the announcement, that on the final play of the first half, the Akron player threw an illegal forward pass from the end zone, resulting in a safety! Fortunately, Akron won the second half and the game that day. I am SO glad that situation didn't play out last night, but even if it did, it would not have given Northwestern the ball at the 30 yard line, with a play to win the game! I can't BELIEVE that sequence was practiced for! smh

God bless you for putting me in my Connecticut Western Reserve trivia place! How could I have fo'got da big merger! Did they have to wait for John D. Rockefeller to die to pull that off?
-
That was before the great Conference Shakeup, that brought Case Western Reserve to the MAC and Rutgers to the B1G! ?
-
Repeating this -- sorry if I missed my post: The female announcer said something I have NEVER heard before. That John Heisman not only COACHED Buchtel College to it's biggest victory, over OSU in 1894, but he QUARTERBACKED the team before that! Is that true??
-
Come on haole. It's ON Maui! Not IN Maui. ??
-
Well, I'm voting Alvin Davis MAC DPotW! 2 Pic 6s.
-
WHAT A CRAZY FINISH! Bowden didn't know they couldn't run out the clock???
-
The win % was 97.5 for NWU about 45 mins ago, I swear! ? What this reminds me of is the game vs Navy in Annapolis about 15-20 yeats ago, that we were down about 24-7 at HT and came back and won by more than a TD. I remember at halftime Roger Staubach on the Navy radio network said he couldn't figure out why they were having to play Akron!

This game is not actually being TELEVISED by BTN. My guide shows Purdue-Mizzou starting at same time, so I suppose it has to be STREAMED? OR, do you have multiple B1G Network stations out there (believe it or not, there are 7 (seven) Pac-12 Net stations!)?

Wish I got more televised games! Can we move to the Pac-12? Jared? ?

No big chances for either side, as Washington playing very deep. Akron controlling 60-70% of possesdion this half, passing looks improved. I really think the back-four is the biggest challenge to improve on our side. Even the Pac-12 announcers are saying that Akron lost focus at times and that was their biggest problem. Well, that is something that can change at least. What I'm concerned with is that we were unable to keep up with Washington's pace the first half. Micaletto could easily have picked up his second yellow -- but the ref gave a "play-on". Without the advantage, he might have stopped play to give Marco another yellow. His first was 10 minutes ago in the UW box, he clipped a Huskies defender from behind.

I'm fascinated by the confident passes Colin Biros has made this game -- from his left wing, he fires balls across the field onto the toe of open players on the opposite wing. What a passer! Akron maintaining possession against the run of play, but Washington counter very dangerous. Micaletto looking excellent as he subs in. Good weekend for Marco.

Jared, interviewed before the 2nd half restart was totally dejected. We can't compete to get back in this unless we can win first or second balls was his judgement. Just look to figure out the fundamentals. We had one shot on goal the first half, yet still aren't out of it. And early in the half UW transition makes us look sick, and it's nearly 3 nil.
-
The best thing I can say is, we are so young, and the best of the youth seem to be the attacking wingers, Biros, Petno both freshman set up a couple if balls late in the half, but the finish wasn't there (Gaiffur had an opportunity go high) and a Biros centered a ball that the runner (who??) was late to. UW has a very good team -- definitely top-10 in my opinion, but we don't appear on their level, physically or maturity wise.

Two early goals for the UW Huskies. 12:00 minutes in! Our back line is slower and poorly organized than I've seen since well before the Porter era. I don't know what can be done. We were pressuring early and had some runs, but Washington is making us look statuesque in their run backs. Skye almost pulled one back at the 16 min. mark, but off the post and saved on the line. No luck to match a clear deficit of athleticism. Need to get Egbo in space, but we have trouble getting our lanes open to create trouble. Mohammed departs. He seems a no-show physically on the pitch. All Washington, as they break the defense and SHOULD have had a third! Not sure how much more I can watch... Announcers forced to say "Two zero is the worst lead in football" May not be for long the way this is going. Well, the last time I recall these teams playing, UW won in Portland 4-0.

Clock stopped for an injured Seattle player with 5:15 to play. The injured player is the Red Hawk captain. Still 2-1.
