  1. I look forward to meeting and watching Noah for the first time when the RRs play in this season's Diamond Head Classic. We missed each other at the classic last year...
  2. Akron connection: Formerly coached by Zips legend Mike Harkins (when it was Eastern Montana U.).
  3. Also, while I can't link to it right now, a guy named Bonagura fron ESPN.com has Akron playing Georgia Southern in the Camellia Bowl! ?
  4. So what is the contract w/South Carolina? I have to presume Nebraska is going to take this as a clear reason to not pay Akron. Do we get that $1 million from Columbia?
  5. HT, do you have a source for the #KeepAlltheMoney story? I can't locate that info on the interwebs! If so, is this a 3-way deal with Nebraska -- the Huskers keep the $$ from our (not) game with them, and USC hosts Nebraska in the future? I just looked at S Carolina's sked -- they have 5 wins with games @Florida and @Clemson, BUT they play Chattanooga at home, so SHOULD be at least 6-6 = bowl eligible without the extra game...
  6. Their gym looks bigger than Bowling Green's!
  7. Aahhhh. The Patented Bowden (& Milwee) Run Out The Clock Offense emerges victorious again!
  8. 17-0 at the half. Zero Akron penalties, but two fumbles. One inside the opponent's ten. Just doing enough to beat a weak CMU team. Won't be like this next Thur vs NIU.
  9. We'll take it. Even Van Edwards is having a big day on the Chipps' defense!
  10. We may have the lowest average yards on first down in CFB. Always in a hole!
  11. 4* Top-50 recruit chose Michigan over OSU and a slew of others. How were we in this??
  12. Where can I buy tickets?
  13. So Denison is the "new Kenyon"? Didn't the Lords-a-Leepin win over 30 in a row?
  14. I saw Bowling Green play in August. They have an average team athletically and skill wise, but are tremendously well coached and pressure the ball and create turnovers as well as any team I've seen this year. They have to play at their best every time out -- and must have had an off-night -- though full credit to coach Herlihy and her players for taking it to the regular season MAC champs! (they beat Buffalo on Sunday 5-0 on Sunday to wrap it up)
  15. Zips would get more shoutouts from Neil Everett on LA Sportscenter...if coach Bowden would just recruit some HAWAI'I players. ☺?
  16. @Erichester6 only writes in Russian.  ?  Doubt its our guy...  Will keep looking.   ☺

      You're right, Z.I.P.  I typo-ed that twitter handle.

Try this:  Eric Hester's twitter profile

I left out a "d."  It should have read, "ericdhester6"

Thanks, & I'll go edit my post!

  17. I can't find a Twitter for Eric. Thought he had one...
  18. Maybe the eligibility issue, if it's an NCAA determination. So, why isn't he eligible at the start? And...I THOUGHT his name was on earlier rosters!?
  19. Why is Eric Hester not listed on the roster?? I thought he was eligible for the start of the season. Something up with our #1 transfer?
  20. I have to say, I'm shocked! What I saw of Parrish last season, he was a decent MAC level player, but not close to having the maturity athletically to compete at a top 10 school. I guess my only explanation is this: Musselman!
  21. Eh, thanks. Five yellow cards may explain why I never seen a wahine get suspended -- although my Rainbows HAVE had some wild girls! ?
  22. Wait! Since when is there a yellow card accumulation rule? There's no such thing in NCAA Women's soccer -- almost positive! Is it three yellows accumulated?
  23. Alright, I must have been looking at an old roster or something. Sven is the #10 for Elmer Bolowich's Blue Jays. Big game between must-win MAC contests. Important for team confidence.
  24. Yes indeed, Buflobo! I know Sven personally. ? Problem is, he no longer appears on the CU roster I saw. Where's Sven?? Honestly, he's (or at least WAS) a scoring machine at Hawaii Pacific (D-2). He was the USDL (summer league) top scorer at Windsor Ontario in 2016. If you see Sven, give him a hardy "Aloha"!
