  1. 70-69!?! No picture. ESPN only has score on the gamecast now. No play-by-play! Aaarrrrrgggghhhh! Edit: Hit refresh!
  2. It seems as if the internet broadcast is at least a couple minutes behind the ESPN gamecast now! Someone tweeted, @KingJames, please give Akron ESPN3,
  3. We look the way we've looked the past three games -- consistently!
  4. When Jimond gets fouled, he should feign injury to avoid shooting FTs!
  5. Now, are ALL their cameras at floor level?? Guess I understand why we don't get ESPN3!
  6. Thought it kept going black, but I guess HipZip had it -- #ForbiddenFTs.
  7. The program's national image is taking a blow from this very thing! In 2013-14, UA had IIRC, 16 games nationally televised, including the ESPN+ system on Time-Warner networks (and some others, I believe). Last year, that number fell below ten. This year, only the Arkansas and Villanova games on the regular ESPN stations, and @Buffalo have been shown. We are taking a big step backwards in our visibility to national basketball fans, alumni, and recruits. I believe the ASN network is the one which gets picked up from ESPN3 to ESPN+. The UB game was on that, and last week's OU-Can't State game. What needs to be done to get UA up to ESPN's standards of "excellence"? Basic infrastructure, equipment, training...(all of the above?)
  8. But Zach said the season's over! I dunno, but I hear we play Toledo on TV Friday.
  9. Bowling Green winning at Ohio! Can't up just two at home vs Miami. Toledo leads NIU by one. MAC is crazier than ever!
  10. Fowler's back -- big time.
  11. Anyone else think this could be a preview of the MAC title game? Wow, Simmons and Fowler are amazing!
  12. Reggie likes this gym. We're still in it --incredibly.
  13. Why is Ivey such an attrocious free-throw shooter? Has he made one this year?
  14. They're a contender, take it to the bank!
  15. Not there for some reason.
  16. Watching the app, but can't find stats! Anyone??
  17. I found this article by the International Business Times to be quite well considered, and thorough. And it mentions the UA and it's facility. http://www.ibtimes.com/college-football-public-universities-spend-millions-stadiums-despite-slim-chance-2258669
  18. Speaking of bubbles, I highly encourage anyone who hasn't yet seen it to go watch The BigShort. Great filmmaking, from a SNL vet.
  19. So, it sounds like Richie is not a Toronto FC homegrown player. Thought he was...
  20. Isaiah Johnson (aka DaDog) played 31 minutes to 14 minutes for Patrick Forsythe. Contentious statement #1: If that pattern continues the remainder of the season, this team will be MAC Champions! And yes, I <3 Patrick, But DaDog gots teeth! Contentious statement #2: Kwan Cheatham proved once again why FS1 called him "The most NBA-ready body on the Akron team". Do any of Kwan's quackers on here know who is going to take up the slack for Reggie and Jake beyond the arc next year?? Kwo-Rect! Kwan can. Akron Zips. 2015-2016 MAC Champs?? Yes They Can!
  21. 40 minutes past start time, and gametracker still shows 0-0. Power outage? Women's game go late? What's happening??
  22. Top Drawer has their first Mock (Super)Draft out today, and Richie is #6. Has he decided he's leaving yet?? Don't think so... http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-articles/2016-mls-mock-draft-v-10_aid38636?utm_source=TopDrawerSoccer+Newsletter&utm_campaign=e4d4ca0f63-General_12_31_1512_30_2015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8340315a79-e4d4ca0f63-31214089
  23. I saw from someone's twitter that Aodhon was at the basketball game last night. Any sightings? Wow!
  24. Yes, our defense left a lot to be desired tonight. But DaDog made 14 of 16 free throws! And we know where we need to improve. Meanwhile Ohio is destroying the best team from the Big West (record wise) UC-Riverside, now 9-6. [Edit, UC-Irvine is 10-5 and of course my Rainbow Warriors are 10-2, don't tell my UH posse I forgot the team] OU Up 20. Setty is having one of his once-a-month career games.
  25. Sorry for the delay in responding to this -- I just saw your response, 87: In fact, I am NOT kidding one iotum! Are you telling me that the NCAA, and Sporting Kansas City (College Cup hosts?) conducting the final four in a Greater Kansas City Metroplex, with what must by demographic ratio be over a hundred thousand footballers, is dependent upon footie fans of the visiting teams to create an attendance that surpasses what the University of Akron gets for a regular season MAC home game? If Cary was ONLY able to sell tickets because of the presence of Duke University among the four teams, then it is symbolic and indicative of the NCAA's inability -- and essential refusal to MARKET the event to the local market and populace of NC and Kansas/Missouri and nearby regions. What was Sporting KC's average attendance this season? I'd be willing to bet it was well over 1000% of the attendance at the College Cup in their stadium, so you cannot make the argument that there are no football fans in that part of the country. I know from experience that the NCAA made no effort to market the 2010 College Cup in Santa Barbara, and with all the teams from far-out-of-state, there were still IIIRC about 6-7000 people on site. And that was because of the popularity of the sport in the nearby region, NOT because of marketing!
