Their length is quickly neutralized by our athleticism and their lack thereof. Miami is a one trick pony and that's only good enough to be competitive. Kent shot 35.9% from the field and 29.2% from 3, yet that game came down to the wire. Miami shot 36.7% from 3 and was barely able to win that game. The only team that can beat us is ourselves. If we execute, we're going dancing.

Pinky miserable is exactly how the world is supposed to be. What a quote. The new look is probably losing by less than 27. From what I've seen, they haven't changed much. Their semifinal game vs Kent was pretty much what they've been doing all season. They shot just well enough and Kent shot just poorly enough. They need to shoot the ball extremely well and have Akron be off to have a shot. Speaking of new look, since the last time Miami played Akron, we've spent a month in Groce boot camp learning a whole new non-3 pointer based offense. That's not something Miami saw as much of and I'm curious to see how quickly we deploy it to get some of their guys in foul trouble.

Why do so many people overvalue Kent? They are the most average 22 win team in the country.

Sideline reporter during the second game said Sullinger transfered because of a rocky relationship with Pinky. No idea what happened at Furman that allowed him to come back, but Barnett went to Pinky and requested he allow Sullinger back on the team.

Under $200 for 5 tickets at half-court with that view is not bad. It'll be both my daughters' first MAC Championship game.

Brilliant game plan and execution. Got out to a hot shooting start, built a lead, then spent 70% of half racking up fouls on Toledo.

Alabama State won their semifinal game. That means all 4 participants in the ABC made it to their semifinal at the very least, with Omaha, Alabama State and potentially Akron reaching their conference finals. Lamar lost to McNeese St in their semifinal game, Omaha won their conference, and we will see what happens with ASU & Akron. People scoffed at the ABC, but it was a mini version of the MAC tournament - 3 games in 3 days vs above average competition. UPDATE: 3/4 teams have at least made their conference final. Akron Basketball Classic produces champions.

KD went 16-16 (7-11 in the A10) in his first year at Duquesne. Dru finished 8-10 in the A10. Pretty good season IMO. First year as a HC in a tough conference; lots to build upon.
