  1. Based on what I was reading, I can't even confidently say they have a NIL collective established.
  2. Decided I wanted to risk losing some brain cells and IQ points, so I traveled over to the PCCC message board to see their thoughts on the off-season. Found a few interesting tidbits... - According to Musselman77 "I got it from a good source that Ali Ali got $100k to come back this season" (referring to last season) - It was questioned how WMU can solicit the money for their new arena, while PCCC "does nothing but burn bridges with community businesses and alumni." In response to this, Older and Older stated "The list of well off alumni and businesses that want nothing to with the development people and Athletic Dept. is truly shocking We frequently discuss and just shake our heads. Wish I was comfortable saying more but they will cancel my parking pass." (This was copied verbatim, perfectly conveying the Can't Write part of Can't Read Can't Write Can't State motto)
  3. According to the Ravenna Rejects Message Board, they have 1 scholarship left after Freeman's departure.
  4. Oh, good, so we know that's not going to happen given his track record. 😂
  5. I'm not gonna say he can't be an improved player for PCCC, but you're absolutely correct - they've lost pretty much everyone. VonCameron Davis returning is solid news for them, but he and Hornbeak are the only returning pieces that averaged 5+ PPG. Poor Pinky. And now he has his handler, AKA Jim Christian, trying to recruit against him. Shambles.
  6. Wow. He - along with the Zebras - almost single handily kept PCCC in the contest at the toilet bowl known as the MACC this season. Great 3P shot. Poor Pinky. Queue the memes!
  7. As long as my off-season tracker is accurate, it's a tie between OU and WMU, although I'm not entirely sure how much WMU graduated, if anyone.
  8. NIU had Coit & Niederhauser, but couldn't make it to Cleveland. That's pathetic.
  9. I don't know if this is true. Lack of opportunity for whatever reason, but Harris shot 42% from 3 in conference play (50% overall from the field) and Wilson is a 35%+ 3P shooter. These guys aren't facing Big 12 competition on a regular basis anymore, and Groce has a proven track record of getting guys into positions to succeed. It might be a slower start due to chemistry issues, but come March I think we'll be one of the strongest Zips teams Groce has had yet.
  10. Read the comments. We're gonna have a good number of bandwagon fans from WV. Welcome aboard!
  11. Young/Tavari Wilson/Scott Nate/Prather Harris/Baker/MMK Okonkwo/Lyles Redshirts: Brisco, Mahafey See y'all on Selection Sunday while we await our 11/6 matchup.
  12. A few WVU fans on Twitter are interested in coming to Akron games next year. They love that these 3 are teaming back up at Akron along with Sharron Young.
  13. Via Professional Zip on Twitter...
  14. 2 years of eligibility as a grad transfer, too.
  15. To the place... I belong... AKRON OHIO! FROM WEST VIRGINIA! TAKE ME HOME COUNTRY ROADS!
  16. This whole rebuild is being done around Sharron, in case anyone is wondering what the coaches' expectations are for Sharron.
  17. That was PCCC level creative. It was... "special". North Virginia Zips would've been better. Sheesh 😂
  18. What the hell type of cardinal directions are taught in Illinois? 🤣
  19. In all seriousness, Josiah Harris is exactly the missing piece we needed after the first 2 transfer commitments. MASSIVE OFF SEASON!!!!!! LET'S GO ZIPS!!!!
  20. Safe to assume Jalen Sullinger isn't returning? This kid is 5'11" and played a lot as a freshman - 33 games, 22 minutes per game. 35.7% 3P and 79.2% FT. Looks a lot like Sullinger's replacement.
  21. This is the sense I get as well. He could be the next great MAC guard. That's why I think it's so important to land these WVU recruits. Coach Rob is a West Virginia icon for recruiting with his roots being Huntington Prep. Make Akron feel like home and hopefully we keep him for more than 1 year.
