i still don't understand where kd gets this cant win the big game label.i guess beating an acc team on thier own court does not count.i don't see any mac teams doing that.all wins are big games.ask any of the teams in the west about that.any of them would be happy with 19 wins.i still think we can still go to the postseason if we can beat toledo.that would give us 20 wins.every team wants to go to the big dance,but the reality is we are a one bid league.

the one thing the mac should do is make temple commit to all sports, or out of the mac.i would prefer to have them out of the mac.we would have 12 teams,and make schedules alott better.temple has done nothing for the mac.i would like to have home/home b-ball games.that would only be 22 games,and make things alott more balanced.you could play every team in your division plus half the other division on f-ball.it would not be perfect ,but alott better than the mess we have now.i have no idea how you can have divsional play, and not play everyone in your division? the way the mac is with 13 teams is beyond stupidity.

we need to win the last two games.we would have 20 wins plus the mac tourney games left.i would think with 20 winswe should get to the post season game somewhere.from what i understand there are three post season tourney's now not including the big dance.we really need to get a bye to win the mac tourney.if i am not mistaken no team has won the mac tourney that did not get a bye.we may not be able to win the mac, but there are still chances for post season play.

zeke will give us an inside game next year.most big men in the mac are not very good.he wil fill a big need for the zips.we have nobody who can score on the low block consistently.chris mc night does some scoring on the low block,but at 6-6i don't think he can do it consistently.when we needed points at the end of the bg,valpo game we had nobody that could stop thier big man.

i hope the 3-3-5 is gone.you need alott of great athletes to run that defense.i just don't think we can recruit alott of 200-215lb guys that really run.i think teams eventually wore our undersized defense down. we were also never able to pressure on the qb even when we blitzed.i don't know if another defense will work,but how much worse can it be than last year.

i was upset with the refs at ball state,but the zips cannot blame the refs for this loss.we just don't have an inside presence.valpo kept feeding the post,and i thought thier big guy was pretty decent.we had no answer for him.i hate to point to next year,but that should all change with zeke.when we needed a bucket our offense does not have a go to guy.next year we will be able to run the offense totally different.

i don't like the 3-3-5 because we have to many small players on the field.you have 200 db-lb trying to shed a 300lb lineman.especially since they do not call holding.our guys get wore down,and beat up by the end of the game.i would like to see either a 3-4,or 4-3 since it gets some bigger guys on the field.we look like a high school defense out there with the size of some of our guys.

the biggest question i have is? is thier any chance this guy could ref the mac tourney? what recourse do kd have to make sure this guy does not ref any more of our games.the biggest issue with the foul differential is who we were playing.you tell me a terrible niu team gets 31 more foul calls.if could see if this was a top mac team like buffalo ect on the roadbut when a team niu does this then things do not look good.

the biggest problem with the way miami plays is if they get down late in the game.once you have them down late in the game they are out of their element.you saw what happened witht akron.once you get the lead (late in the game)they have trouble playing from behind.

why boo the other team,or players.everyone makestakes in life.non one has been perfect since jesus.i always root for my team,and could care less about the other team.that's just me though.after all it's just a game where billions of chinese people don't really care.lol.

i doubt if nui will make it to cleveland since they stink.somehow i hope they do,and the zips beat the crap out of them.it would be a nice payback for the crap the offcials gave us at niu.they will not be able to take 47 shots on a nuetral court.

the valpo game may not be for an ncaa bid.it's still a game the zips need to win of they want to get in other post season tourneys.after yeserday's 47-16 fouls i am not to confident about any road wins now.

i cannot believe no one is talking about the foul shots.i don't remeber any mac games where one team took 47 to 16 foul shots.everyone acts like the zips played bad.this loss was total bs.they took 31 more foul shots,and beat us by a few points.no team in the mac can beat another if they shoot 31 more foul shots.it's not like niu is a top ten team that is good enough to get all those calls.even kd did not sound happy about the refs,but was careful to choose his words.this is what happens when you go on the road.that's why i am suspect of the valpo game on the road.if the game is like niu it's almost impossible to make up 31 points.

we usually give up 21 three throws a game.how does niu get almost 50?? totally bs by mac refs.

this is more of a b-ball thread,but relates to the new tv deal.i don't understand how on espn there will be alott of women's games on during the week/weekends.yet the mac cannot get any of thier games on espn.you cannot tell me more people watch womens b-ball then men. the mac has no internet broadcast of games like the horizon.u of a does not carry games on the net anymore.then we kill our attendance with weekday games.i realize sometimes to get your games on tv you have to play during the week.the fact is that is hard enough to get fans to mac games during the weekend let alone during the week. when the weather get bad people are not going to bring the kids to 30 degree temps on a school night.i just think the mac lacks any kind of vision.i realize the prodcut has not been good,but the mac has not helped it's self either.the sales/marketing for the conference is terrible.

zipmiester.i think you are confused about mac schools making money on bowl games.the bowls do pay out $ to each school.most d-1 schools make nothing on bowl games.especially when you addtravel cost,and have to split $ with other teams in the conference.so what if cost ou 60k to host a tourney game.we paidwyoming to come to the jar.you don't think teams like duke,and carolina pay teams to come to thier place. if you want exposure for your school it cost money.it cost money to run any athletic program.all mac football schools lose $,or break even.you act like football is a cash cow.plus this tourney is totall new.do you know if teams will have to pay money for a home game?

gp i disagree in this one.how is this tourney any different than some of the bowl games the mac plays in.so the football team would be better off not accepting a bowl bid because it the international bowl.from your point of view i guess it's better to win 26 games, and stay home.i doubt any of players,or coaches on that team would agreee with you.i think most zips fans would agree also.we all know you don't like kd;so this is just another way to gripe.you only post about b-ball when the zips lose,or have something negative to say.

your 100% on with the teams that get the high stars do well.the fighting irish consistantly land top 5 recruiting clasess.don't forget they have been in the poulan weed eater bowl the last five years.that should be proof enough.

if the zips really want to win kd needs to let zeke suit up for the Can't game.give him quades old number,and jersey.i doubt anyone would notice him playing in the game.he is only 7ft tall;so it should be fine.

i don't get where the zips can't close games.i guess beating bg on the road does not count.everybody reambers the losses,but forget we are still over.500. the game coming up with Can't is huge.if we can win then we go play the mac west.i realize there are no guarentee's,but none of the teams in the west are as good as ou/miami.we played probably the four best teams in the mac.after the next ten games if the zips are under .500 hundred then i will worry.

it's shame about a.johnson.we could have really used him this year.with the inury this year we really did not see enough of the guy.to bad he graduated.

i think the one point people are missing is how many min humpty is playing.when you get tired you make silly mistakes. kd is playing him to many min.hopefully we will get our other pg guard back.i am not saying that is the complete reason humpty is playing bad,but i am sure it's a factor.fans need to remember this kid was in high school last year.hopefully kd can cut his min with steward back soon.if the zips can beat Can't this week we are right back in the race.a loss to Can't though,and the zips are in trouble.i still think this team can string a few wins together against the west teams.

the next two games are huge for the zips.even if we can split the next two would be ok.a win tonight ,and Can't would be awsome.we start to play the teams in the west,and start to get alott of wins then.

a fair play off will never happen.the bcs schools do not want non bcs schools in any of the big bowl games,or playoffs.they do not want to share the $$$$ with non bcs schools.it's all about $,and not whats best for college football.the only reason a team like utah was in a bcs bowl game was because congress was threating anti trust against the bcs.so they gave a little crum to the non bcs schools.if you had a 16 team playoff you would probably have more than one non-bcs school in the playoff.hence spltting up more money to non bcs schools.

next two games are big for the zips.Can't is in a downward spin.if the zips can win the next two we will be in good shape.they then play alott of west divison teams.there is no reason akron cannot win these west conference games.hopefully we at least come out with the splt of the next two though.zips cannot afford to lose both of them.
