bowden has to go.let's get saban in here.i heard he would take the job if offered by UA.im sick of getting beat when we get outcoached every week .it's one thing to lose to a team with better talent,but we have the better talent than any of teams we have played so far.our two wins in two years with R.I. clearly proves this.bowden is the problem. get him out of here now!!!!

if every defense is now stoping the spread. why do the majority in teams in college football run this. they do because it works.osu gave osu almost 100 points in two games against nebraska,and indi. wvu did score 70 points this year agianst baylor.there is no other offense we can run that would have kept us in our games. one game against niu does not prove the spread offense is bad.i think they are probably the best team we will played all year.im not so sure they could not be tenn on a neutral field.

this is a bg team that gave florida all they could handle.florida beat lsu last weekend.the fact we were winning at the half was a good job by this team.people forget espn called us the worst team in d-1 last year.i guess people forget that just about every mac team put up 50 on us,and our offense scored 14 on thier fourth team.you can complain all you want but the fact is we don't have the talent to compete yet.nothing people say ,or do is going to change that.

so the sec has never payed players,or any kind of cheating at all? you take every team that has won a national championship, and will find some kind of cheating going.you just don't hear about it until after these guys are in the pro's a few years.m.irvin,reggie bush,dieon sanders,chris carter ,ect.like cam newton was perfectly clean.if you don't think all the top teams don't cheat you nut's.that's how they get to be top teams.

kd really needs to land a decent big man.i don't think we will ever get a guy like zeke again,but we need to get a good 4&5.the only thing i learned from ohio run in the ncaa tourney is you can get pretty far without a good big man.you better have all five guys be able to score though.it wil be interesting to see what kd will do. the team next year has nobody coming off the bench with a bad ass attitude like treadwell.if we get zeke ,or treadwell in foul trouble we will be hurting.

all those teams are not in the mac.i said if akron can ever get out of the mac. then we can compete on a national level. with the money the mac makes on tv contracts it cannot compete with usf,or boise.they pay thier coaches alott more than akron does ,and spend alott more on thier football programs.they don't have to go on the road to play OSU every year,just so they can make enough $ to keep the football team from losing more money. they don't have 55 million dollar stadium to pay for with about 5,000 people in the stands.

i thought it would be a good idea to move down to 1-aa in football,and find a b-ball conference that gets more than one auto bid.with the new stadium,and hire of bowden the team needs to go forward and stay in the mac.we have no choice now at this point.tere is not enough $ in 1-AA to support the new facilities.the reality is though akron will never be a top 25 team year in year out.i just hope bowden can get us to the point we can dominate in the mac.the truth hurts but the reality is OSU can pay thier head coach more than are entire football budget.i think GP is the one person who understands this out of most zips fans.so to compete with bcs team every year will be hard. this does not mean we can't upset bcs schools,but we will never consistently beat bcs teams.we need to focus on winning our conference,and go to a bowl game every year.if somehow we then get to a point where we could leave the mac,and get into a bcs conference then things can chance for our akron.i remeber ck saying that when we hired brookhart we now had a professional choach that would get us into the top 25 every year.i think he meant well,but we just don't get the TV money to ever have that happen.even if bowden does a great job we need realistic expectaions.

the zips will get the chance right away to have any chance at an at large bid next year.playing on a neutral court against some very good team will test us right away.we have the chance put ourselves in a at large position if we can knock off some big name teams.if we lose most of our games in the overseas tourney then we have to win the mac tourney game.i like the idea of playing on a neutral court.our fate will be decided in one week for an at large bid.

with most sucessful mac team what will happen is bcs schools steal thier coaches.it finally caught up with Can't. they had four senior starters back,and should have done better this year.the ou coach will be gone this year. they still have a great group of players,but after the coach leaves nothing is for certian.with kd the players,fans,and admin know he is here for a long.that means alott whem you are trying yo recriut players.

when i saw us play N.W. it was the first time that we finally have as good,or better athletes than some big ten teams. kd has done a good job of bringing in better players.that does not guarentee wins next year,but if you don't have the talent you have no chance of winning.kd did a good job of bringing in prop48 kids,and transfers.hopefully they can come out next year on fire.

i just don't understand why some posters have to complain all the time about the coaches,and players. kd can't draw up plays,does not act like he wants to win,zeke needs to put in more effort,the team cant win big games. it's a basketball game that's all.it's supposed to be for entertainment,but alott of fans make it a complain fest.i was happy with our team this year ;since it was fun to watch the team play.

ua zip. name a mac school in the last ten years that has won a ncaa tourney game.one team ou won once.you act like the mac wins ncaa tourney games all the time,and akron is the only team that has not.as for respect for ou ,and Can't.we beat Can't three times this year.beat them last year in the champ game.what has Can't done in the last few years.cit tourney this year is a big deal? Can't went to the final eight about 50 years ago.akron is no different than any other mac b-ball school. ohio state is the only team that an average fan knows about,or cares about.

one good thing about playing them and that offense is that if you need to get a beer,smoke break,or talk on the phone. you won't miss much. they will be passing the ball back and fourth,and back and fourth the entire game.

honestly !! if eastern played in the east the would have been in last place.the reason the coach recieved the coy was because they played in the mac west.any team in the east even miami would have won the west. i never liked the divsions set up we have.coy from eastern got a gift card from (Icoach)in the mac west. p.s. not to be confused with the new (I PHONE).

B4 what is your opinion now that akron is the mac champs.im sure in your mind you saw the zips beat Can't last week to.

if K.D. could only draw up plays for the team we might win a game.i say get coleman crawford back a.s.a.p to turn this program around.

the guy sounds like monster at 275. if he is only a junior a could up about 7 feet.i would think that having zeke on our team would help in getting this guy.he can see that we already have a very good big man.

i think our rb postion is in good hand.we have a great fb,and a pretty good tb.i think our wr our good enough to win games in the mac.qb is a big question mark, but at least the new coach has two guys that have playing experience.i am not saying either of them our great qb,but it's hard to tell with our ol.the line needs to be completely rebuilt.the new coach needs to find some quality OL that can start within a year or two.our entire defense is a mess.i hate to say it but next year could really be ugly on the defense side of the ball.i just don't see more than three guys who our legit d-1 players on defense.hopefully the new coach can come in and get the guys we have to play better defense,but good luck.

ck you have nothing better to do than post five seconds right after i post something about our b-ball program?i was not bashing kd.he even realizes that somebody needs to step up in the senior class. i more upset of the play of players who have been here for awhile,and are giving less than the guys who have just played one year,or less. we have plenty of people on the bench who can come in, and can score more than one point a game.

winters is making 250k now.i would imagine if he wins the d-2 championship wayne state will try to do whatever it can to keep him.i have no idea what they can pay a coach,but 250 k is getting near what mac coaches make.winters may not even want the job if wayne state wins the d-2 championship.i have to agree with ck that akron may have to shell out alott more cash then tw wants to.then there is still that chance even with more $ winters does not wants the job.

i really don't care who kd puts in.all i know is nitro had one point in 29 min.you mean to tell me he plays better defense than gilliam, or harney.i know they don't play the same position ,but diggs can play the two man.how much worse can either of them do.harney had 19 min,but why is he not playing more.maybe getting tree back will help.if nitro is not hitting the three then how does he help the team.one point and two asst in 29 min is not going to cut it.at least kd seems to understand that somebody needs to step up, and be a leader.maybe things will change for the next game. it's one thing to lose,but it's another thing to get run off the court.i trust kd will get the job done. i just know i have seen enough of the current pt,and changes have to be made
