cmu beat toledo. the mac seems to be pretty even this year. so many teams can beat each other every week.

just like wmu had only a small chance.

the fact is as badly as we have played so have bg,miami,Can't ,niu and for that matter the whole mac. every team in the mac has been beat badly at least once. there are no great teams.the teams needs to get it together this week. if we win we are right back in it. a loss though, and the season is pretty much done.as for getsy. this team has allot more problems than just getsy.frye had spoiled us with winning games without a defense, and running game. did any one on hear think that losing the ol, and frye would make the offense better this year? there is still no reason that we can't beat bg without omar. bg got rolled by (western michigan) not michigan;so no excuses for going up there ,and playing bad. go akron.

the city of akron needs to step up also. does not seem like this is happening.the downtown economy (city of akron)will benifit from a new stadium. the whole thing should not fall entirely on the university.

i do agree with the last post about talent.however four out of the last five teams we play we have at least or more talent than ou,bsu,army,and can't. bgsu has a hell of an offense. when i watched them on tv early in the year their d was horrible. the coaching staff,and players can't use lack of talent against four out of the last five opponents however.there is no reason this team can't win four out of the last five. no less than three wins out of the last five would be a big dissapointment.

z-pouch and quick zips are right on. a great defense doesn't worry the time of possession,or feild postition. there is never ,ever any reason to give up 51 points. if miami had great feild postion all day how did they manage 581 yards. i thought the days of giving up 50+ points were over after last year.

nice post gp.it's hard to tell from the radio how the game is played on the feild. i just don't understand how the defense gave up so many yards.the big play was getsy int in the end zone.then the defense lets them go 80 yards. that's a big swing of probabaly 14 points.we needed the defense to step up ,and they didn't on that series. the good thing is the last three games are against teams that are not playing well either. there is absolutely no reason we can't win those last three. no excuses that ou,ball state,and Can't have more talent than we do.

anytime you give up 509 yards with six minutes left / it's hard to win a game unless you play perfect.

yea your 100% right. jd promised getsy playing ;so no way he is going to bench him. he would rather lose his job than go back on a promise. he also promised playing time to all the starters on the o-line.the only person he didnt promise playing time to is hixson ;so the first time he drops a ball it's bench time.

to say that miami is one of the top teams in the mac even if true is not saying much. they have been beat by osu,niu,cmu. give me a break .they have already lost three games.this is not even close to the miami great teams they have had in the past.

i think expectations got way out of line after the wins versus mtsu, and niu. this was supposed to be a rebuilding year then all of a sudden were talking about jd leaving early.how many teams in the mac can dominate every game. answer none. bg got blown out twice this year.niu and miami already have lost a few games each, and toldeo got blown out by fresno. while there are alott of problems with this team i have to remind myself that we are 3-2.c/k is right. the red zone scoring though is a big concern though;when you can't get run the ball in short yardage.miami is down this year. there is no reason we can't go down there, and win this game. go akron!!!

c/k what was the two back to back personal fouls about? of couse the radio guys didn't tell us much. our offense is bad enough we do not need to hep the other team with stuipd penalites.

we won but we have need to put a good offense and defense effort next week.watching the nui /miami game though miami is down this year ;so this is our chance to beat them at their place.
