  1. Bars are a business and like any business only want to take money out of will hands.... and if those bars cater to front-running losers with nothing good in their life except to latch on to a sports team down state that has had some success, I tend to hold the bar in less contempt than the pity I have for suckers who latch on to any winner because they have nothing in their own life to be proud of. :wave:Browns fans who stay loyal through all these years of ineptitude... those are real fans.Zips fans who go to games after several years of 5-7, those are real fans. Most people wearing red and gray on saturday are not students or alumni of that school and only do what they do because they need ego comfort.
  2. I haven't asked them about gameday yet, but I know that the Scotchers in the Valley has Zips jerseys, signs, clocks and other decor all over the place.... even roo brew posters over the urinals. LOL. I suspect that they will have the game on.
  3. #1) QB Rollout after checking off receivers, dump off pass back to the middle to the RB for 5 yards.#2) Quickout left sideline pass for 3.5 yards.#3) Play action... QB bootleg, no room to run, dump off pass to TE for first down
  4. ZippyTuba11, I dub thee "Zips Zen Master" -- good summary!!i honestly think PSU will come out expecting us to throw the ball before running. i think our best first play if it is a pass is to throw deep. if not id suggest a draw or a screen to alex allen. they wouldnt be expecting either of those on the first play of the gameThe draw plays were very successful last year in the first several games... in fact, I think I remember Syracuse biting hard on those. But I also think that later defenses were prepared to play that. I'm sure Penn State will have film on our offense last year.
  5. I can't wait for that game.Their fans make the whole thing so much better.
  6. Absolutely! What you have to ask yourself is why this was ever even written in the first place. What is the impetus for writing all this? You can not blame it on some random stream-of-consciousness.Obviously, something got him jarred.Psychological denial is the logical explanation. Preemptive defensiveness can be an ugly thing sometimes.
  7. Guys, when they go to put it on you, refuse and ask that you can wear it on game day.
  8. Okay, so is it impossible to remove this thing and just tack it up to your refrigerator until game day? It's not the mark of the beast or anything
  9. 200x50=$10,000 d'oh. i'm an accounting major too. don't let jupitertoo see this.just keep postin and get to the next page quicklul*sympathy bump*problem will be if it keeps getting quoted right into the next page...
  10. zippy says: "Did someone say hops?"
  11. It's still hard for me to believe that it NEEDS TO BE A FREAKING RULE IN THE FIRST PLACE.It should have been common sense. A rule like that needs to be put into place not to stop mistakes, but to stop corrupt decisions.
  12. Is that just pregame... because if it's there during the game, it might be worth moseying out the gates a few times
  13. LOLIsn't it usually it's the sales guys who are duffers?I suspect the favorite passtime of middle management in NEOhio is 12oz curls. But seriously, I think they just don't want anyone showing up in cutoffs and wifebeaters.
  14. NOBODY IS YOUNGSTOWN!!!LOL, take a runt-sibling version of pittsburgh, mix in a perpetual timelock on a 1970s New Jersey rescession, and stir in some appalachian charm and some rust-belt flair, with a more ruralized version of chicago politics, and you've got Youngstown. For all these years, outside our area, Akron has been seen as not much more than Cleveland's underside... but the way things have been going in Cleveland vs the way they have been going in Akron, I think an apt adjustment to the metaphor is Gold-Member.(Let me preemptively apologize to anyone who is offended in youngstown or here in akron. Lampooning is a little hobby of mine, and I wasn't thrilled to see the goofball comment in the PD yesterday about how akron is "afraid" to schedule the pinguinz)
  15. great shotslooks like you saturated the colors a bit (one of my favorite tricks). These should be put in a gallery to show to perspective students
  16. The jinx is in
  17. Do you think the NCAA will clear that black magic training supplement he uses? Is very bad idea to steal jobu's rum
  18. lul, sorry guys, I don't normally exuberantly partake in teh OSU drama, but this thing was painful to watch, and I would imagine even more painful to watch if you are an OSU supporter
  19. full lights right now
  20. even better
  21. Why would they? They wont be playing there....Well, I think something is in place to help change all that.I believe some local area marching bands will be playing on the field at the Info. This will put HS students on the field and their families and friends in the stands... and it could be planting the seeds of buzz spreading among those age-groups.
  22. Apparently you need to be logged in to view the forums there.Yeah, so how about a cliffnotes summary?
  23. Didn't we play them in the dome last year? ? ?
  24. oh snap! The ACT gauntlet been throwd!
