  1. Good old boys = anyone but Gilliam? Got it. So how are you related to him?
  2. +1 Seriously great and loud crowd tonight.
  3. Ha, tiny church school. I'm familiar with it (Grove City College for those interested) - as it is my alma mater. But ironically he didn't finish his degree there... he ended up at Can't State if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure he'll convert to our side quickly if his son commits to the Zips. Peters had 22-26 points (my source didn't have exact numbers) tonight against Triway (right around his season average mentioned earlier in the thread). A Zips scout was in attendance I'm told. Anyway, I'll keep an eye on this as CVCA is my other alma mater. Go Zips and go Royals.
  4. FYI it has hit the ESPN Insider rumor mill. Anyone have a sub that can paste what it says? My guess is that it is a link to the Lake County Sentinel article we have already seen. ESPN
  5. Yeah, no complaints about this one. Losing to MSU, Michigan, and tying WMU sealed our tourney fate. Nevertheless, we can still pull it together and make it to Alabama!
  6. You are correct... from the ncaa men's soccer handbook. An evaluation will be made of institutional facilities to determine if they are acceptable for championship play. Selection of host sites will be based partly on the quality of the playing facility. A facility evaluation form will be made available on the NCAA website to the directors of athletics of all institutions and will be one of the tools used in making this determination. Institutions interested in hosting are to submit the form online by the indicated deadline. Institutions submitting proposed budgets for preliminary rounds must have played the majority of their home games at the site listed on the facility evaluation form. Institutions with inadequate playing surfaces (e.g., inadequate artificial surface, minimum dimensions, etc.) may request a waiver of the policy. Site Selection. The site selection criteria for the Division I men’s soccer championship are as follows (see Appendixes F and G): 60 percent Committee ranking 40 percent (1) Facility— Quality of field surface (60 percent) Evaluation of facility (30 percent) Game management (10 percent) So, basically the ncaa chooses. We'll see how that goes.
  7. can you imagine if a college professor went to a black college students meeting and yelled "death to all (N word)"?! Or if i went to a muslim students meeting/muslim speaker and yelled "death to islam"?Yeah...what a disgusting double-standard.This loon has been doing crap like this for years though.I don't usually like to get into this kind of debates on this board but you leave me no options.Israel is a political state, not a race, not a religion. So your comparison to someone yelling death to N word/Islam has no ground.Yelling death to Israel compares to yelling death to Saudi Arabia or Iran or Palestine, which, by the way, happens everyday and nobody cares. After rereading this topic I see what you are saying, but I think the implication of what he is saying goes beyond a nation-state, right?
  8. could care less about that site. Notice how they're big Suckeye fans, while most of us here are not. I think I'm going to start counting the number of times that people here take something off topic to talk about the buckeyes. Congratulations on being the first.
  9. Good call Z.I.P. I do vaguely remember this. Pretty cool!
  10. That's becoming more and more evident daily.
  11. I can't imagine why they would want to market the only top tier soccer league team from Ohio to people from Ohio.
  12. Not the news you were probably looking for, but apparently Nik is back in Serbia. Don't know if that means anything... just sharing some info on a "dead" board.
  13. Could it have been this article by chance?
  14. Yes - it always hurts when we lose a player with a torn ACL to an NAIA squad. the ZN resident dbag/unfunny smart ass chimes in with yet another waste if msg bd space....your massive insecruities are duly noted Thank you for not wasting "msg bd" space by spelling it out all the way.
  15. Thanks for bringing it back on topic. I agree.
  16. I see your Bucks half is in control today, as a pure Zips fan wouldn't think to post something like that on a Zips forum. I think you missed the rest of the thread. Either that or you are trying to pick a fight. Either way, I'm not biting. I think everyone is being sarcastic, but it's hard to tell on the internet...
  17. Poor shooting? That's like saying the guy driving the Titanic was a poor driver. It's been since the 1940s that a team scored that few points in the national championship game. Poor game, Hell yes. That's like saying the trip on the Titanic from England to the US was great...right up until they ran into the ice. The game last night was great until they threw up the ball at 9:23. At the end of the day, sporting events are about player performance. Both teams were terrible last night. Walker is talked about like he was great in the finals. He went 5-19 and his team won. If Nasir Robinson doesn't commit possibly the worst foul in the history of the Tournament, UCONN doesn't win the national championship. I don't know if Pitt wins it either, but surely anyone would have been better than Butler last night. Agree with you completely, but that's the perils of a tournament. One and DONE. No second chances for Kansas who got run out of the building against VCU. Sorry Ohio State, Bufords 3-16 performance sunk you. Duke? Arizona scored 1.5 points per possession to ruin your chances. Etc, etc. Each event led us to last night's championship. If any one of them didn't happen I think we have a better game. Such is life in a tournament format.
  18. Boo, I blame you... you jinxed em. Haha, but seriously. I'm so mad I watched the game.
  19. That is 2 hours I will never get back. I'm actually mad I wasted my time tonight. Worst part is, UConn was horrible. If Butler plays so-so on offense they win that game by 10. Ugh.
  20. Require an at large team to have at least a +.500 record in conference. That's one I think we can all get behind. If you're 8-8 in the Big East... sorry, you aren't going to win 6 games in a row to win the National Championship.
  21. I despise Pat Forde and his love for everything "major" in college hoops (aka Kentucky), but this article was well written and well researched. Glad that the folks on ESPN are giving more credit to Dambrot and UA for his chance as a coach then just attributing it to one year under Donovan at Florida. Thanks for sharing.
  22. Thought he grew up in Kenya? 30% of Republicans would probably believe it. And if it's reported on Fox Noise, that number jumps to 80% of Republicans believing it. I blame you, MDZip, for taking this one off topic.
  23. Tim Carroll is a Graduate Assistant. How does that work if he never graduated? He also wasn't on scholarship... not sure if that played into it.
  24. I'll take credit for that one.
