  1. Reminds me of VCU the other night.
  2. Hey MD, where'd you find that KenPom thing? I looked on his website and couldn't locate it... is it on the worldwide leader's website somewhere?
  3. The economy is booming with it's current 9.8% unemployment rate. Employment numbers typically lag the stock market. So the stock market is the economy? I had no idea.
  4. The economy is booming with it's current 9.8% unemployment rate.
  5. I mostly blame the JAR. Absolutely. The facility was to blame, not the students. The JAR was only allowing older folks in for this game. The JAR stopped students at the door and wouldn't let them in. If I were a student, I'd organize a protest against the JAR for discrimination. I'm picking up on your sarcasm.
  6. I heard Wake Forest is giving us a return game this year. I'm sure that's preliminary, but that's the rumor.
  7. Another fantastic article. Too bad there is some troll over there claiming that Akron plays negative football and just packs it in to win at all costs. Couldn't be further from the truth. Besides being , the best thing about Akron is their style of play. I've never seen a troll that thinks he knows so much and actually knows so little. His claim that Akron had possession about 37% of the time against UVA two years ago is laughable. UVA had all 11 behind the ball the entire second half and overtimes. What a joke.
  8. I trust your "very reliable source" over a random live chat posting.
  9. When/Where did AC post? Chiu Post topic
  10. Too bad you can't use it if you only have time warner internet and not the tv as well. Same with the Xbox360 ESPN application...which is fantastic as well if you have the tv service. Yeah, unfortunately the time warner xbox 360 streaming doesn't work yet as they still have to work out the details. When that comes through I will be one happy camper.
  11. I'm with you Root. Sorry I hadn't posted I'm just so shocked I don't really know what to say. Think about the recruiting bonus this is? "Hey, wanna come to Akron? We'll go over to Spain and play the reserves of the top teams in the freaking WORLD!" I love Caleb Porter. That's all I can say.
  12. This comment is the best: i cant stand this kid, not only did he turn his back on the country that provided him with food, water, a house, and f***ing health care [against the dance team's wishes I edited this], he turned his back one of the greats this country has had (his dad). this idiot gives his word to play for Canada and stabs us in the back for the US? Gd i hope his father beats the s*** outta him the next time they have a family get together. Never mind that Teal was born in Canada, but hadn't lived there since age 2. I'm pretty sure the only health care Canada provided to him was his birth. Some people are divorced from logic.
  13. I'm a hardcore fan and I like ROOligans.
  14. Considering some form of ROOligans has 21 of the 45 votes I don't see how Porter's Army is the official selection.
  15. Saw one on the way in today as well... On Market Street coming in from Fairlawn. Pretty freaking sweet.
  16. It's a clever play on Hooligans that everyone will recognize. Exchange St. won't necessarily mean anything to some. I stand by ROOligans.
  17. I'm interested and I like this.
  18. Wasn't it Korb at left back and Valentin/Barson in the center? Correct. That was the back line all year except for the games Kofi missed with injury (Balogun in place of him).
  19. Actually, it always seems to me that the shooting percentage for both teams is correct but the total shots for the visitor is not. The total shots for the visitor always shows to be the same as for the Zips. With that being said, I believe I saw during the Ohio game (what else was there worth watching) that it had finally been fixed! Maybe the Zips did do at least one thing right on Wednesday! I always wondered what the glitch was that made the scoreboard % wrong. I played games trying to figure it out. Thanks for enlightening me on this point.
  20. No, he plays NAIA. It has nothing to do with the NCAA so no restrictions. Plus I do believe in soccer you can transfer out of your current conference and play right away, unlike football or basketball.
  21. My thoughts exactly. It's hard to define any of our back line guys as "weak links" but Barson was the most consistent and intelligent back their all year. Good call Roogangs.
  22. I found this on the front page of espn.com at the moment. (Down on the very bottom left). Huge coverage for the Zips! Link Sorry if it's already been posted... I didn't see it anywhere else.
  23. In the next couple years you will likely see Speas and Barson sign "homegrown" contracts with Columbus since that was their youth club team. They'll get there. Zips will continue to be all over the MLS!
  24. Awesome, thanks for checking in at the event, MDZip!
  25. Shhh! It is a well kept secret, but I think maybe, just maybe Barson was better than Zarek last year. Keep that on the DL though. Chad will be fine back there. If the newcomers get up to speed by tourney time (shouldn't be a problem) we'll be ready to make another run at it!
