  1. Beautiful! 🤣🤣
  2. I was just gonna post about our general lack of a “sense of urgency.” 😂 I love level heads but we play too laid back. (Mainly Ali & Castenada.)
  3. I’m about ready to add Dawson to our Super Sophmores list of Freeman & Ali.
  4. We’ve had a few too many Ali dribbling exhibitions.
  5. Has Wynn just picked up 3 fouls in about 4 seconds?
  6. Castenada was wide open in the corner, Ali.
  7. I’m sure he’s been told this a thousand times but Bandaogo needs to quit leaving his feet.
  8. Idk. Maybe he is hurt? It may be relative? Apparently the two freshman guards were also too banged up early in to contribute.
  9. This. He’s still dressing b/c they’re going to say they weren’t planning on redshirting him but that he was injured. If not, then nothing about his absolute-zero amount of PT since December makes sense.
  10. You make so many good points in this post, but I'll just address what I've put in bold^^. It's Garvin Clarke's play the last three games. He's looked more than serviceable; he's a true contributor. Such a relief as I was becoming disillusioned w/ Garvin, thinking he'd most likely transfer out after this year. But he's really looking like a true, albeit young/still green, D-1 PG.
  11. It was a fantastic interview! Thank you for giving us the head's-up.
  12. @Spin, actually, we'd have two parking decks on adjacent blocks: The West Campus Parking Deck and the Lock 3 parking deck (connected to the Barley House). But for me it's not necessarily the walk from the Carroll Street Parking Deck to the JAR. (Since we're an urban area we should expect to have to park & walk no matter where we build.) It's that the Carroll Street Parking Deck does nothing to facilitate any downtown activity. It's not walkable to/from Main Street and it's right next to the expressway. So I drive to the Carroll Street deck, park, walk to the JAR, watch the game, walk back to the Carroll Street deck, and drive home. It's a Zips game and nothing else. I'd love for Zips games to feel more like RubberDucks games.
  13. @dre22era Exactly - like you said- except for the empty side I love UMBC’s arena. Extend the seating around it’s entirety and that would be perfect in downtown. Additionally, I’d bet the U & city would want to encorporate some loges into the design.
  14. Dawson > Trimble
  15. Just out of curiosity I was checking up on how Jermaine Marshall is fairing at Samford. Anyway, knowing we desperately need a new arena, check out Samford's beautiful facility. Only 5K but gorgeous (I remember KD saying he'd want an 8K facility). Would be beautiful across from Canal Park. Samford's Pete Hanna Center Samford has this but we have the JAR? The JAR blows. EDIT: This isn't the greatest facility in the world, but I just throw this out there because even this facility at Samford is a palace compared to the JAR.
  16. I can't remember, but yes, LBJ was sitting court side w/ his wife. I just remember him getting excited. It was definitely one of Kwan's better games, IIRC.
  17. Simply brutal. Even the chair-backed seats are rickety & made of a chintzy plastic. *sigh*
  18. I remember him being on one night when LeBron was at the game. A (3rd-consecutive?) Kwan 3 forced the other team into a time out & LeBron was celebration dancing out on the floor. If it had been anyone else the refs would have probably given the Zips a T.
  19. Both wins raining on their Senior Day/Nights. Gotta love it!
  20. I wouldn't. Here is Groce from the ABJ postgame story: “I just think our chemistry right now is really good. I think we’re connected. I think our guys care about each other and they care about winning and when you really care about winning at the level they do right now about winning you’re going to play well.” If it ain't broke...
  21. I did. Looked like Groce wanted to say something (non confrontational) and Boals just ignored him.
