Akron dot com Game Day Story Saturday will be the first since the 1996-97 season that both teams come into the game with a losing record. UA produced an 8-18 overall record and went 6-12 in the conference, and Kent State was 9-18 and 7-11 in the MAC that season.

That really surprised me. I haven't been following K.e.nt at all this year, but is Jaylin Walker struggling? Coming into the year I thought he might be preseason MAC POTY. Apparently not happening for him. They obviously haven't been able to adjust to life without Jimmy Hall.

+1. Couldn't have said it better. I scroll through twitter a couple times a day hoping to see a verbal from DeeArius. I'm still disappointed we didn't sign a QB. We had Ohio Mr. Football Joey Baughman right here in Wadsworth and Tadas Tatarunas up in Mentor. But apparently Bowden & Co. know more than me because it doesn't appear that either got any D-1 looks. Baughman signed with Elon & Tatarunas w/ Walsh.
