  1. Another nice article from GT: UA Football: Zips defense adjusting to life after departure of old-school coordinator Chuck Amato GT also mention LB DeMarcus Lloyd as a player to watch who's made his presence felt this spring.
  2. Actually, you're right about the grad transfer. That's a no-brainer that just slipped my mind. Lol
  3. E-man looking healthy! (But his dribble reminds me why I hate seeing him put the ball on the floor. )
  4. If we don't land either Neftali Alvarez or TJ Moss, I'm thinking Groce should just pocket the scholarship for future use. Jimmond is going to be our only senior who will graduate and open up a scholarship, so this way we'd have two to give out next year. We're already quite stacked: 1. Jackson (5-8) 2. Hester (6-3) 3. Roscoe (6-3) 4. Ivey (6-4) 5. Banks (6-5) 6. Utomi (6-6) 7. Parrish (6-6) 8. Toles (6-6) 9. Poke (6-8) 10. Sayles (6-9) 11. Riak (6-10) 12. K-lac (6-11)
  5. We apparently won't hear anything from TJ Moss till at least after this weekend. (NLOI Day is tomorrow.)
  6. Good point. When Malone and Walsh added 100 football players it would have instantly increased their enrollment by around 3%.
  7. This is confusing. Why do you keep bringing this up as if it was the coaching staff's plan to play a 6-6 post? KD left the cupboard bare. We had 3 eligible bigs, and two of them got hurt. The third was a freshman. Unless you're on a steady diet of Duke or Kentucky, you rarely see freshman bigs who are any good. Next year we'll have 4 bigs on scholarship. On a roster of 12, 4 bigs is plenty. Beyond that, one can only speculate how injuries +/or development will play out.
  8. If I ever see another ref call a T for hanging on the rim I'm going to have to resist the urge to run out on the court and immediately kick his ass.
  9. Any Marquise Bridges sightings?
  10. Another nice article from GT: Zips show potential at spring scrimmage
  11. Looks like a true combo guard w/ 5.8 assists per game.
  12. LZip was the first to post this.
  13. Here's a really nice article on Mykel Traylor-Bennett: GT for the ABJ: Back to his original position, wide receiver Mykel Taylor-Bennett hopes to have big impact on Zips' offense
  14. Wasn't able to make it. Ended up having to pick a friend up from the airport late last night. I just woke up. ?
  15. ABJ: Two players leaving University of Akron men's basketball team The article cites Patton from the Dayton Daily News: “I wouldn’t say I made a mistake,” he told the Daily News. “I wanted to figure out what I really want to do, be a role player or shine somewhere. I just felt I could find a better fit somewhere else.” Good move for Torrey. I think he made the right call.
  16. Good luck, Torrey, and thank you for your year in blue & gold! Like everyone else, I'm sure, I'm not surprised by this. This is a good move for Torrey. He most likely wasn't going to see a lot of PT next year. When I would toy around with hypothetical lineups, he was always the odd-man-out. PG: Jackson........??? 2G: Ivey................ Toles...........Hester W: Utomi..............Parrish PF: Sayles...........Poke C: Riak.................K-lac We really need another PG next year.
