  1. Are they scrimmaging tomorrow (Saturday 4/20)? I'd be able to make it if anyone knows the time. Thanks in advance.
  2. 1: Nyles........Melo 2: Q..............B.J. Gladden 3. Harney......McAdams 4. Tree..........Kretzer 5. Pat............Isaiah Redshirts: Kwan Cheatham & Aaron Jackson (Cheatham no doubt, as he'll still be just 17 when he steps on campus in the fall. IMO Aaron Jackson also has to mature - mentally; I saw him play a few times this year & he's awfully cocky -nothing really wrong with that- but he also seems to take a lot of plays off. KD's gonna have to go all Drill Sergeant on AJ this first year.) Best seats in the house: Blake Justice, Deji Ibitayo
  3. Are we sure all scholarship players are returning? I.e., Justice and/or Ibitayo.
  4. You're correct. I didn't hear it today, but I did make a mental note when I heard them announce last Friday that Hipsher was going to be interviewed on Wednesday.
  5. With the development of LB John Rachal, if LB C.J. Mizell and DT Moses McCray make it to camp in the fall, we could/should have a truly stacked front 7. DT's: Nico Caponi Cody Grice Keontae Hollis Lavonne Gauthney James Price Moses McCray DE's: Albert Presley C.J. James Alfonso Horner Jason Stargel LB's: Justin March Jatavis Brown Jamel Turner John Rachal Jon Shelby C.J. Mizell Nick Rossi Jamar Williams It looks like TB has taken us from paper thin to serious depth in only one off season.
  6. I believe he's enrolling in the fall. He's still finishing up his JUCO work.
  7. Is anyone at the match? If so, can you post some updates/observations?
  8. Excellent. I was afraid we might lose touch w/ GameChanger44. Momma Zeke's a Zip for life!
  9. @ the 3:20 mark of the second video you can see Nyles either sprain or re-sprain that ankle that gave him trouble during the last 2 games of the season. He's hopping on one foot when the buzzer sounds.
  10. 3-0. Me like. Thanks for the breakdown! Go Zips!
  11. He was a jerk. He had a very talented team and eventually seemed to make them all hate him. Jimmal Ball Jaimie Bosley George Phillips Ryan Andrick Jawanza Moore Did that talented group ever win a single game in the MAC Tourney? I was glad when Ryan Andrick almost leveled him. "Thunder Dan" was verbally abusive. I'm all for free speech & what not, but you can only be verbally abusive for so long before someone lashes out physically.
  12. As of yet he hasn't graduated from JUCO, so he won't report till the fall. (Knock on wood.)
  13. Day 3 Breakdown by George Thomas. It's good to hear Nick Rossi is beginning to have an impact. I was expecting him to have an impact the day he set foot on campus. It takes some guys longer than others. He's got two years remaining & can still have a very solid career.
  14. Zips Looking to Stabilize Offensive Line. George Thomas courtesy of the ABJ.
  15. Day 2 breakdown from George Thomas.
  16. +1. I'd love to be able to walk from some of the (most likely south side of) downtown establishments to the arena. It's so much fun walking by the various restaurants & bars in Cleveland while making your way to the Q. It just makes it a great evening/night out. I'd love to have that experience in Akron.
  17. Yup. Jeremiah's going JUCO.
  18. Here is GT's finished article taken from the above notes.
  19. Excellent Day 1 Breakdown from George Thomas!
  20. The article to which the Dr. linked above ^^^ mentions Curtis Black. So I'm guessing he's on the roster, though he's not listed. (?)
  21. I want whatever KD wants. I trust him on this. Having said that, I'm open minded to anything - multi-purpose/all-purpose, next to InfoCision Stadium/next to Canal Park. In looking @ mapquest, it doesn't look like the lot across from Canal Park is any further a walk that the JAR is from the new dorms going up on Grant Street. Though KD probably wants the arena next to InfoCision (and again, I'm for whatever KD thinks is best), I still like the idea of the arena being downtown & being able to walk from the restaurants to the arena. It just seems like it'd make it a great night out. The JAR is so inconveniently located.
  22. IIRC, Porter's first season was a little under-whelming. We're we afraid the program had slipped from the Lolla days? So we may want to keep that in mind during Embick's 1st year.
  23. Nice. They deserve that. But that probably means a new baseball field at the Buchtel Field location is a no-go? Dominoes falling... does that mean Lee Jackson baseball field will remain and the arena will go across from Canal Park?
  24. Thanks, good Doctor! Good to see both Benny Cunningham (S - Medina) & Kevin Mills (OL - McKinley) on the roster.
  25. It has to do with the corner and end seating. The seats are (quite a bit) further from the court than in a basketball-specific facility. The center court seats are basically the same.
