I hope the game is not embarrassingly slow. I no longer invite guests to the Miami games because they're so painful to watch. With the momentum UA has right now, there mayy be a really nice crowd atbthe game with some Joe Akrons attending their first Zips game. If EMU makes it SLOW, BORING game I'll be ticked.

EMU is tough. Since MAC play began they've added a 7' center to their roster. He is a transfer from Syracuse (kid hails from Detroit) and he's definitely a defensive stopper. He's athletic, movea his feet and arms very well, and definitely passes the eyeball test (at least he sure did on tv). I'm looking forward to seeing how Zeke matches upmwith someone his own size! Go Zips!!

Exactly. Coach Terry Bowden, on top of already being one of the single most recognizable college coaches in the entire nation, now has even more of an embarrassment of riches at this university. The campus, the fieldhouse, the stadium. And now Jim Tressel. Coach Bowden has the luxury of simply utilizing JT like an ace up his sleave; just pull him out on occasion to impress some upper echelon Ohio recruits. (I don't know if any out-of-state recruits would really care much about meeting JT?)

I'm not saying this information is true, or accurate. However, if it is, the $20 million still wouldn't be official yet. It'd probably just be a pledge for $20 million. If the pledge were earmarked for an arena, the U would/could make it official before a press conference is held.

If this is true, then Jim Tressel has already made quite a ROI for UA.

This is what I am suspecting. After five years he'll be our next AD. The good news is that we've got Jim Tressel while he's hot. After three or five years away from Columbus State football, he'll most likely be a bit more irrelevant than he is presently. Especially if Urban Meyer is successful, your average Ohioan will move on. So we've got Jim at the best possible time.

Excellent. Thanks for sharing your observation. It's probably healthy that KD doesn't have to carry the burden of being the sole "heavy."

I love it! The players need to read it. KD can't be the only critical voice they hear. One thing I've observed on our bench is how nice our assistant coaches are. Perhaps to a fault? Is this by design? Is KD's role to be the Bad Cop and the assistants are to be the Good Cops? I just ask because it seems as though KD is the only coach willing to give the fellas the occasional kicks in the backsides that most all athletes occasionally need.

So did Alfred Koroma sign, or not?

Perhaps if the arena is labeled a multi-purpose facility, which it will be, we won't have any trouble?

Most of the inferences being tossed around are veiled references to joining the Big East. Or at least a move to Conference USA.
