When there is a nice crowd present it's a great atmosphere. The lawn chairs & blankets along the 3rd baseline & circling the outfield look pretty cool. (As I type that it sounds tongue-in-cheek, but it's not. I guess you've got to see it in person.)

Just got a "403 Forbidden" message as I was attempting to edit the initial post of the 23 Verbal Commitments thread. Was not able to update the post. Edit: Maybe the message didn't say "403." I tried updating Post #1 in the '23 Commits thread again this morning and the message is simply "Forbidden. You don't have permission to access this resource." (I'm trying it here simply to see if I can edit this post.)

Why is Groce complaining like he’s a spectator on ZipsNation? It’s his job to install offense. It’s his job to make sure they’re moving. We were standing around like a 6th grade team. I’ve seen a million high school games better played than that. It’s also Groce’s job to recruit players who can play at this level. Give me Ali, Dawson, X, and Tavari. The rest of Groce’s recruits look like D-2 players. Groce doesn’t get credit for winning the lottery with Freeman. Kobe Mitchell looks like he’s going to crap his shorts when someone passes him the ball. He passes up open 3’s to pass the ball… to Tribble… on the perimeter.

Tribble said the Zips need a hit-first mindset, challenging opponents from the outset beginning Friday. “We just been getting off to slow, flat starts. It starts with me and some of the older guys on our team,” he said. “We just got to come out in, set the rules and get that intensity. He did tackle Beanie Wells(?) in the end zone for a safety IIRC. OSUcks hit a FG as time expired in the half to lead us 3-2. I was at the game & going crazy! We ended up losing, what, 24-2, or something like that. But it was a pretty competitive game.

I met him briefly and he was a terrific guy. Feel happy for him as he played at Minnesota. Good for him. He'll be difficult to replace but JoeMo will do it. (And, to be perfectly honest, though Winston is an A+++ person, the DL sort of underperformed my expectations this year.)
