  1. He speaks the truth. I really, really, really, really want to see this team in the real tournament. Watching the selection show this Sunday with my laptop in front of me just waiting to book a plane ticket when they flush Akron's name across the screen would make every bad loss, banked in three-pointer, and postseason snub that I've seen as a Roos fan worth it.
  2. Definitely rather win the MAC Tourney and play in the real tournament. I'm sure the team would be in the camp as well.
  3. Wow, if that's true, a transfer can't be too far away. I hope it's not, Jimmy seems like a good guy.
  4. For what it's worth, I always assumed you knew what you were talking about... I just think it's funny.
  5. Matter of fact... yes. Charlie Everett and C.J. Hooker did against Duke in 2005... and Dewey Burke last year. It's a common practice and it's one of the many things I like about college hoops as compared to the NBA.
  6. Most respectable programs do this.
  7. LOL, where's zipmeister? Hiding from the legions of morons who dared to insinuate we might play Wisconsin next year?
  8. That's fine, plese don't pull a Singletary though... KD would probably suspend him for more than one game.
  9. ...and San Diego dumped Gonzaga in the WCC Finals last night. More bad news for Districtballer and the Rams.
  10. The NCAA and the MAC sure are... $$$$$$$$$$$.
  11. You and me both, we're on "the good side".
  12. I'll dress up like a ninja, sneak into your office, and kidnap you if I have to.
  13. I'm with ya, I can't complain too much about tonight's D, especially towards the end of the game. Let's hope that ball pressure shows up for the tournament.
  14. Couldn't agree more.
  15. LOL, I was happy to see VCU croak against William & Mary. If Can't makes it to the finals next weekend, they'll probably eat up what very well could have been VCU's at large bid.
  16. We lost by a bucket while posting our worst WORST three-point shooting performance of the year. Shows me we're capable of surviving a poor night from behind the arc. If we had been 5-23 from behind the arc, it would still have been unbelievably bad, but we'd have won.
  17. Not that it needed to be said, but let's lick our wounds (both players and fans... we need a turnout at the Q to rival the one at the JAR tonight) and gear up for this weekend. Can't just took our worst shot and escaped by three on a last second three-pointer. It's most likely CMU, WMU, and Can't State that stand between us and The Dance. There is no doubt we have the talent to take it all, and I really hope the Zips get a big show of support from the UA faithful.
  18. I disagree. We were an unbelievably bad 3-23 behind the arc against the best team on our schedule and they needed a last second three to win.
  19. I think he was actually referring to Austin Peay and Winthrop (from the first post).
  20. It's Jared!!!I can't concede that Can't strategically scheduled "better" than us this year. They got a little bit of luck and won the big games (most of 'em anyway). If we had won the games we should have, we could have gotten an at-large too.Oh, and by the way...
  21. They also got lucky. Xavier is usually good, but not RPI top ten good. Illinois State is a perennial MVC bottom feeder, this year they're looking like an at-large team and have an RPI of 35... if you saw that coming I want to arrange a trip to Vegas with you. Cleveland St... Usually it's a good bet that you'll have your scrubs in to start the 2nd half against them, this year they finished 2nd behind Butler in the Horizon and their RPI checks in at 79. What kills the MAC SOS across the board is the Western Division. Check out these RPI ratings... 111, 161, 221, 238, 276, 293. You know why we aren't being considered for an at-large? We went 3-3 against those six teams... ouch.
  22. I wish people would quit peddling this useless idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :puke: :puke: :puke:
  23. Dials waited until AFTER the game. Big distinction.

    Bubba

He took his locker room cancer down south and then went 1-3 against us anway. I'd say his marginal production doesn't even come close to offsetting all of the stuff I mentioned in the original post. Every time he looked at the Zips bench after scoring last night just like when he yelled at the Rowdies at the JAR drove the point home that we were in his head... it was probably the difference in the game the first time around this year. I wish he could come back for one more, too bad KD wouldn't let him out of his scholarship and cost him half a season of eligibility.

We are now big OU and MU fans. As long as OU beats Buffalo at home and Miami beats BGSU at home, then we avoid both of them (they would play each other) in the quarterfinals and would most likely get another shot at CMU on Thursday at The Q.
