  1. Looks like someone's a little confused as to who our rival is... THAT is why we're small time is because half of our fans are so blindly jealous of another school's success that they're willing to cheer for Can't. How many OSU fans do you think ever cheer for Michigan for any reason?Your skyscrapers are going to end up more like Rex Humbard's tower restaurant with an attitude like that.
  2. Can't wait! UK does not have that strong of a team this year, should be a victory for the Zips. I'm guessing there will be a big crowd today in high spirits because of yesterday's fantastic win at the Rubber Bowl!!!
  3. LOL Dr. Z!!!!!!!
  4. Wow, what a difference two weeks makes.
  5. A trip down memory lane...
  6. It's 10:15 a.m. ... AND Can't STATE STILL SUCKS!!!
  7. Oh come on guys, Moore and Hill will be here next year, along with Jarvis Givens. Harvey and Lindsay? They're just taking a year off. A little bird told me that Reed, Stoudamire, and Jackson were also planning a return journey to UA.
  8. Frye was pulled because he stood like a statue while the Pittsburgh linebacking core cleaned his clock five times. Know how many times Anderson was sacked this week? None, so can it.Here's the stellar stat line you're defending... 4-10 34 yds., 1 INT, 5 sacks for a total of 31 yards lost... equates to a passer rating of *drum roll* 10.0. Anderson... sacked once in 7 quarters. Wait, which one is the "mobile quarterback" again?Sorry Mr. Frye, er, zen, at least he still cashes the paycheck.*Edit: I do stand corrected on how many series he played, it was actually seven... four three and outs, an INT, a fumble by Lewis, and one drive where he managed to actually advance the ball 18 yards.*
  9. Frye was removed because he got sacked five times in three series despite having ample time to throw, chucking passes that hit Pittsburgh linebackers in the numbers, and throwing passes that would have required his receivers to contort themselves into pretzels to catch. That's right hubristic of you to call people trolls and flamers (*haha*) just because they aren't sycophants of the church of Charlie like you are.
  10. I believe he's come on as a sub in every game but the opener against NM.
  11. That was exactly what I was thinking as I was watching it, so it would seem to me that we lack the capacity to contain mobile QBs. There had better be some MAJOR defensive adjustments this week. Yesterday's game was a winnable one had we not allowed their QB to scramble for 20 yards on 3rd and long every time it came up.
  12. ...will turn cartwheels when he watches this week's UA game on film and sees the holes in the middle of the field.
  13. I'm sure he understands that you were saving your pennies for those skyscrapers you're building.

  15. Tryon, isn't that the main street in downtown Charlotte?
  16. Pure class. Also, I bow to your fan-dom.
  17. Second to Can't? Oh well, the same was probably said last year. It's always hard to predict how good they'll be because they get so many junior college transfers.
  18. Winking Lizard? BW3?
  19. Good win against a quality opponent... I think the five teams we've played so far have all been in the Top 25 at some point. Akron's first goal was just classic. Zakuani got tripped up just outside the 18-yard box and while half of the UIC players were carping to the ref about the call, Bradbrook put the ball down quickly and passed it over to Tutich who fired it into an all but open goal as the keeper was scrambling back. I'd never seen anything quite like that before.Next home game is Sunday the 23rd vs. Kentucky @ 2:00... followed up by the Ohio State game on Wednesday!!!!!!!!!
  20. According to the box score Gavin received his second yellow in the 47th minute (3rd minute of the second half). So we were a man down for 43 minutes.Anyway, another Top 25 opponent (UIC) visits Lee Jackson tonight... time to bounce back!
  21. I think "ruse" is the term you were looking for... but I really don't even know what you're talking about anymore.
  22. Not "a" draft pick... a 6th round draft pick. And there was plenty of speculation yesterday that he was going to be granted his outright release. (Being traded for a 6th round pick is pretty much the same thing as getting released anyway).
  23. We're not debating anything because apparently your delicate sensitivities aren't up to it.
  24. Zen obviously didn't see what Cleveland received in the trade.
  25. Sorry to contradict you again, but I wasn't drawing a comparison between how delicately I tread when talking about sports on the internet and in person... the point I was making was that we're talking about sports, so what does being "sensitive" have to do with anything? If we were discussing this over a beer, I would have no problem telling you just as dryly and apparently "insensitively" as I did here that Charlie Frye has had a lousy run at being an NFL quarterback. Sorry if I offended you... are you an immediate member of the Frye family or something? You seem to be taking this really personally.
