  1. R U saying Zeke will not be at full strength for the Indiana game?
  2. Which happened first: Bowser TD or students moving onto the grass?
  3. Well Zip fans, prepare to eat crow. I have checked it out and hoo hoo (aka Kid) is correct, Indiana does have a plan to get to the Rose Bowl in 5 years. Bake sales every week until enough money has been raised to purchase a ticket for each and every team member. Right Kid?
  4. You been smokin the insulage hoo hoo? Nobody moves to Indiana to enrich their life. Oh, and tell the Kid I said "Hi."
  5. I have a bridge I want to sell to you. As an aside - thank God you don't have to make a living guessing people's weight at the carny.
  6. I hate to break up the group hug, but isn't the spread 1.67 points using his current rankings?Sagarin Rankings 09162009UA's ranking = 65.60IU's Ranking = 66.93Home Field = 3.0065.60 + 3.00 - 66.93 = 1.67I know.....I need to get a life and soon.Your link title is a bit misleading. The ratings are as of 9/13/2009 not 9/16/2009. Also I did not round the 2.91 home field advantage to 3.0 as suggested by Jeff. It actually is not critical either way as the Zips will be winning by 14 points. You caught me in the old "post date the link" trick. Kudos. And you correctly pointed out a more precise value for home field advantage. I am now better informed. Thanks! You are welcome. Now if I can just convince Jeff to stop truncating his rankings and home field advantage to two digits to the right of the decimal point we can really start to get some accurate spreads.

  8. Hey...I'm OK, your OK, the Zips are OK and using Jeff's current ratings the Zips should win by 1.58 points.
  9. Martin garners national attention for F.L.A.S.H. football.http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ca...et-sixth-year/1
  10. Checking at gozips.com, the rifle schedule has not yet been posted. Any idea when it will be available? I am fired up for the competition this season. Will the same tailgaiting rules that apply for football also be used for the rifle matches?
  11. I need more cowbell.Looks like the line increased a bit to 4.5 or 5.
  12. There are only two posters with this attitude...Zach and UAkronKid. Oh did I say two posters? love the game day stories so far and I wouldn't mind looking at more pics anyone has.
  13. You have cable without ESPN!!! What plan is that? The "less than basic" plan for $4.95 a month?
  14. Well he beat the over under on the number of plays he would be in on for the season.
  15. I was thinking the same thing. At least he's on the RIGHT side of the picture.
  16. This is why I never understood the phrase, "with age comes wisdom."Well don't give up. Maybe when you get much older knowledge will come to you.
  17. Watching the cams makes me wish I was there even more.
  18. From what I understand, quantitiy and quality are going to have a direct relationship at Akron. That is, assuming people on this board are correctly informed about goals of open enrollment. Now if we can just get "direct" and "positive" to be synonyms.
  19. Wow! 10% growth really? 11,000 more students?! They mentioned that Akron had a growth of 7% this year, and that we have 11,000 less students. Good point. Too bad UA's main campus has 27,000 students as opposed to the 22,000 at Can't. Just because UA doesn't create some meaningless allusion of selectivity by creating ten other community colleges(that's essentially what the Can't branch campuses are). Ouch @ BG. And that's their enrollment at the main campus and all of their little community colleges combined. What's going on in BG?I'd love to see what the % growth was at Can't's main campus(did they set a cap on students yet?). I'd venture to guess Akron brought home the highest main campus increase in Ohio this fall. Now if someone can just come up with a positive correlation between quantity and quality.
