I wasn't sure if you were comparing Oats to Bobby Hurley because they each coached at UB or if you thought I was talking about Bobby lol. It's all good
They didn't. That's my point. They were bidding against UConn for Dan Hurley. They offered $3.25MM per year, the offer went public, and now Oats wants that type of offer.
The offer would have put Hurley in the top 10 highest paid coaches. I think Oats is a very good coach but paying him a top 10 salary is a decent overpayment
Apparently Oats asked for a deal similar to what Pitt offered Hurley and they weren't on board. If he doesn't reconsider sounds like he isn't going to Pitt. Doesn't sound like he's against getting out of UB though
Who care if donations went down before he took over? Donations were $X when he took over and now they're $X plus millions more. He did his job and did pretty well. We could have done a lot worse.
As I am working through this right now with a client, I should advise you to report your foreign activity if you decide to buy your house in the Caymans early and rent it out until you move. Not reporting anything for 10 years appears to be unwise
Thanks to UMBC everyone forgot about Buffalo. I like how it turned out, they got a little respect for the MAC (and themselves obviously) but aren't going to be the Cinderella story through November.
That's complete and utter "Bull" sht. Gonzaga did it in Tacoma, Washington with a student body of like 6k. Akron doesn't need anyone else to be respected.
I'm so torn. It would get the MAC some respect, but then again I don't care much for it if it's Buffalo getting it. I find myself rooting against them, I think.
