Can't and BG are going to have a pretty bare cupboard, depending on who's coming in. UT losing arguably their three best players, any good recruits coming in?
Pat is hurt, BJ is hurt. I'm sure a few others are banged up. Antino is gassed, so I understand not playing in the Sharpie invitational. However, if Deji and Niles wanted to keep playing, that's a tough spot to be in for KD.
Proud of this team. Could have folded up and went home at a bunch of different moments this week and never quit. Can't wait to watch them next year at full health with another year of experience under their belts.
We had 1 foul through the first 8 minutes of the second half and only ended with 8 I think. I don't think many ticky tacky calls were made. I don't remember one hand check foul.
I played at the Q once. The depth perception of 5k seats behind a hoop compared to the HS walls I was used to is tough. But I'm assuming these guys aren't phased by that.
Reminded me of Zeke vs Justin Greene.. Seemed like Zeke fouled him out or got him in trouble early every time. They can't stop you down low when they're playing timid.
Gotcha. Can't argue, it worked out This probably deserves its own topic but how about Pat? A lot has been said about player development under KD, namely big men, but his improvement from last year is remarkable. He was really the difference last night.
Woooo what a win! Totally worth the drive and getting 5 hours of sleep and still trying to get 70 hours this week. Decided to splurge and sat second row of court side behind the hoop closest to the zips bench. Saw Reggie get totally drilled with a bow, and came back to hit the huge 3. We've talked a lot about the zips legs eventually not being there for all the 3 point attempts, but it doesn't matter when you're playing D like that. Keep holding teams to 50 and you don't have to make too many shots. Tomorrow is gonna be a battle, but why not win the whole dang thing now?
Amen. He's been alluding to the fact that his guys are playing with more confidence knowing that they're going to get their 20+ minutes. Maybe some were right in stating going 11 deep isn't always great.
