If you take away the games against the MAC West which dragged the East down, Can't would be a top 50 RPI team and on the bubble, while Akron, Miami, Buffalo, and Ohio would all be above or right around 100. The MAC East is on par with the A-10, Horizon, and CAA but the teams at the bottom of the West are so awful that they drag the entire conference ratings down into the depths. This post season the East is proving that the MAC isn't defined by our worst teams.

If we beat Notre Dame and he has a solid game, he'll be on the NBA's radar. But to actually get drafted he'll need to accumulate stat lines like he did in the MAC championship game throughout the tournament while leading us to the Elite 8 or better. Not knocking Ziggy at all, but that's a very unlikely scenario. His success depends on how well the team around him is playing. He could play out of his mind with a triple-double and one or two more Sportscenter Top-10 plays against ND but if we lose he won't even get a sniff. Now, another offseason of heavy workouts and working on his game and it might simply come down to whether there's an NBA lockout.

Akron wins 3-0 over Rayo Vellacano reserves. Mattocks with 2 goals, and Tulloch with the third. A good start, I think.

ND relies on the three. Akron needs to guard the perimeter and deny passing lanes to keep the game within reach. We also need our shots to fall in a dynamic offense (no standing around). And shoot better than 50% from the line. ND doesn't foul too much, so our bigs shouldn't have to worry about foul trouble. Zeke needs to show why Pitt wanted him. If he went there, he would have been relied on to come up big during the BIG East tourney and the Dance, and it is no different here.

Anyone listen? I can't take listening to that show. I listened. I loved his rant before Dambrot came on about how Akron can't buy respect no matter how successful they are, and people still look back on on our D-II years as having better teams.

A new arena is prohibitively expensive. For about $10 mil we could re-design the JAR into something much more comfortable fro the fans.

Can't lost pretty much everybody but was still picked to win the conference. If the media knew that the new Can't players would step right in and the program would still be on top, I would hope they would do enough research to see the same thing possibly happen with the Zips.

Next year our personnel situations will likely be reversed with you bringing most of everybody back and us losing a ton and bringing in a bunch of interesting new guys.

Lunardi currently has us as a 16 seed, but personally I think we could go as high as a 13 or 14. Current 13 seeds according to Lunardi: Princeton, Bucknell, Belmont, Oakland Current 14 seeds according to Lunardi: Long Island, Morehead State, Indiana State, Wofford Current 15 seeds according to Lunardi: St. Peters, UCSB, Northern Colorado, UNC Asheville Current 16 seeds (not play-in games): Boston U, Akron Current Play-in games: Alabama State/Hampton, UALR/Texas San Antonio I believe all four 16 seeds are play ins. Nope. Two play-ins are for 16 seeds. The other two are for a 13 seed I think.
