  1. The Lady Zips are putting it together at the right time. They won at Ohio 59-57. It was the first win at the Convo in 24 years. I'll say that again. Twenty-four years. They're on a four-game win streak with the biggest game of the season coming up on Tuesday against BGSU at the JAR.
  2. Creighton finally started a game thread.
  3. Here's a blast from the past. Anybody remember this guy during the Faust and Owens years?
  4. Who likes him? No one important. Just a few insignificant folks outside the masses on the social gossip networks. So the uninformed. They read the press release and so hear the PR spin but don't do their own research.
  5. Rasor updated his blog, mentioning the press release for the new DC. Then he was shocked to find out that people could see past the PR bullcrap and that a lot of Nebraska fans took the time to remind anyone who would listen that the guy did a terrible job there. Thus leading to a poll question.
  6. Miami is in 1st place in the MAC. For the one-bid leagues, he just puts the current leader in. Since Miami has such a crappy non-conference record, they are a 16 seed. If Akron or Can't won, we would probably be 13 or 14 seeds. WMU would be a 16 through 14.
  7. The only benefit of being a 16 seed is the chance to play OSU in Cleveland. It may be the perfect scenario for a 16-seed to finally beat a 1-seed. It would also boost our program in unimaginable ways.
  8. Nobody in the mac has depth. Replacing a starter with a bad junior is the same as replacing him with a green freshman. Either way you are up poop creek. Except we're not replacing them at all. At least a freshman or a bench warmer can provide a body to practice against and so provides some secondary benefit to the team.
  9. Plate, Heiss and Vidmar - No one cares. Greenwood is a disappointing loss. All four are disappointing. We simply don't have the depth to sustain losses like this. We don't even have an FCS number of scholarship players and we're losing them at a rate faster than recruiting can replace thanks to the 25-person limit on signing classes. I don't know, maybe it's Ianello's goal to cut the roster down to NFL size. He's going to leave the team in even worse shape than Brookhart did. If we have 66 already here on scholarship and signed 23 more, are we over the D1 limit? Don't you know your scholarship math?? Just ask Auburn and they can explain how 30+29+28+32 = 85. Actually, we had something like 55 scholarship players, and about 11 walk-ons. We just lost four more scholarship players. So now we're at 74 for the fall. But for the spring practices, we won't even have 60. And the 74 fr the fall assumes nobody else decides to abandon this sinking ship.
  10. An "outstanding fit for the program". Our program is 1-11. We shouldn't be hiring anyone who remotely fits that mold.

  12. Creighton fans are so easy to troll.
  13. New offer - OG Tyler Orlosky
  14. Point Guards pass the ball. Shooting Guards shoot the ball. McNees doesn't get assists, but shoots the ball quite often. Rico doesn't shoot too much but does get assists.
  15. If you look at it, the #7 seed may be the easiest path to the championship game. A bye couldn't hurt, though. And of course WMU may muck everything up if they somehow get the #1 seed (If Can't and miami lose a few more each and WMU beats Can't then it is possible).
  16. I know, I know. But when i saw this, I had to wonder. is McNees better off at the two and Abreu dishing it to him?
  17. The way Millet Hall is designed, you could have a sellout crowd of angry drunks and not hear a peep of it on the court. The seats are ridiculously far away from the action. You actually get a closer look at the game by watching on TV.
  18. Their facility is in the upper tier of college baseball stadiums. Ours is the worst in the entire country. It wouldn't take much of an investment to at least get some stands like the softball field has. Luckily, it appears that some upgrades are on the way. I laughed out loud when I read the first bolded part.
  19. Except that we host a few of their championships every year. The Stile field house is just that awesome.
  20. Just win out. If you can beat them on the road, you can beat them at the Q. Seeding doesn't matter when you can beat any of the teams.
  21. What a strange promotion for the game Saturday. Did a certain poster here had something to do with this?
  22. Seems like some more players are transferring out. It will be interesting when the spring game roster comes out. CB Randy Greenwood has left the team and is looking to transfer CB Nate Vidmar has left the team FB James Heiss is transferring to IUPUI LB Nolan Plate is transferring to Dayton
  23. I'm rooting for Miami. i don't care how it changes the seedings, I don't want Can't to win. In fact, I think they'll lose quite a bit down the stretch.
