All FBS teams must fund at least 90% of the scholarship limit of 85. So 76 or 77. Anything less and you lose your standing as FBS.

Somebody is working on improving what can be improved in the short term. It's a bunch of little touches that have been absent recently. New scoreboard animations, a mural in the lobby, stuff like that. There are lots of little things that can be done on the cheap, but it takes someone who wants to be here or at least somebody who actually knows what they're doing for that stuff to get done. Things like that get ignored when you have resume-padders in charge, throwing out big expensive ideas so they can move on.

All that really needs to happen is that an equal number of home and road games is enforced. No more 8-home 4-away schedules. The fact that it's not 6-and-6 with a 12-game schedule is stupid.

I think it's more important that the Browns or Bengals improve. If the Browns make the playoffs, OSU becomes largely irrelevant in Cleveland. The reason OSU is so popular is because they give two sadsack NFL fanbases an alternative. If those NFl franchises could do more, that wouldn't be the case.

The "I'm from Ohio" excuse is one of the stupidest things commonly thrown out by OSU bandwagoners. You would never catch them rooting for OU or Toledo or AKRON or any other university if they went on a run. Nobody in the state outside of Athens was cheering for Ohio when they were in the Sweet 16. You didn't have every single radio station and media outlet hanging off their sack for an entire week. It's a BS argument and you know it.

Don't know if he's one of them, but I hope so. It can be difficult to find much information on these kind of players that sign a LOI and then sit out or never materialize.

It's certainly possible. A big part of the attendance two years ago came from a few games with very large student turnout, including setting the student attendance record twice. I have no idea what they did to get that kind of student turnout, though.

I would love to see them in the MAC because they need a replacement for Akron leaving.
