Miami should finish right around 10th (of 15) in the ACC. That still means they're a really good team. Buffalo's campus only has a few inches of snow. Five miles to the south, and you've got 20-foot high snow drifts. That's lake-effect snow for you. The issue is people, including the teams from their hotels, getting to the stadium. Can't State's already there, and their equipment truck made it after getting stuck in the storm. It would be irresponsible to send them home without at least playing. Even if you don't open the gates to the public and play it as an empty-stadium scrimmage.

Akron is coming off a good win, and Can't's game at Buffalo has been delayed due to weather. Things look favorable for Akron, but anything can happen in a rivalry game.

Bottom line from this game: This season is now at the very least as good as last season, with one final chance to make it even better.

It's not the program, its the leadership. UAB is a campus of the University of Alabama system. They share their board of trustees with the Crimson Tide. When Nick Saban is whispering in their ears, seeing your program as money that could instead go toward buying him a gold-plated bathroom next to his office, and Paul Bryant Jr is looking to exact revenge for a decades-old grudge, and the entire board of trustees comes from Tuscaloosa, your program doesn't stand a chance.

Which also means rumors of an opening in Conference USA. Something I hope UA takes into consideration.
